Too Quiet!

Wow! I know that it is summer and a lot of kids are out of school--but it's almost like a ghost town around here. It really got quiet~not much going on, not a lot of posts. A lot of the regulars are just popping in here and there, leaving little comments here and there and *poof* gone again. :o Thought I would just let everyone know that I noticed how quiet it has been. Love you guys!!!

It has been a bit slow around here. My kids are too young yet to be in school. I just ignore them and play on here anyway!!! LOL My daughter (3 1/2) now comes up to me when I am on the computer and says "mom.... are you listening to me? turn your ears on mom" Hehe..... hm..... maybe I should go play a game with them or something?

Well...I dont have small kids at home, dont have school kids at home, dont have vacations to worry about, dont have a broken hand, I think my mind's still working..only way school being out effects me is that at 7:00 am and at 2:15 pm I can get n and out of the driveway without waiting on a line of cars..I live right square across the street from the middle school...hehe..my reason is the weather...it really zaps me and takes my breath..sometimes I get out of breath just typing..so I just read those days..its hard to keep my mouth shut to I can tell ya...I miss everyone and am feeling safe in saying that in a few months things will return to normal in our little community..:D

Jazz I know what you are talking about being out of breath. My DH has asthma, allergies and a heart condition~and it kills him not to be able to go outside and do yardwork, but if he does in the heat and humidity we have been having he wouldn't be able to breathe at all, and the wheezing--so I can really relate to what you are talking about. So just take it easy!!

Eye-thanks for waking me and everyone else up. I sure don't like this deep sleep everyone's been in.:)

Crops--what a bang of an entry!! Yes that does make me feel better.

OK everyone glad to know everyone is still around, but just busier because of kids, vacation, guests arriving and so on and so on and so on. You gotta love summer!! I do!!

It is VERY QUIET and you can hear a pin drop in the Gallery!! Looks totally like a ghost town sometimes..But I'm one of those that can only spend a few minutes popping in and out if I'm lucky..Kids have a FULL Schedule home from school..Movies on wednesdays with the kids takes up the WHOLE morning!! EEK..and then the ususal stuff and I'm pooped!!

Vacations are happening and we go through periods like this as the long term regulars can tell you!! This is normal..Not to worry!! The addiction runs through our veins worse than nicotine!!

I just hope to always manage enough time to leave comments on all the great layouts and goodies folks leave!! WWHEW..so many threads to look at..I don't catch them all!!

This morning when I was leaving home to go to work, I saw a BIG Jack Rabbit! I honestly thought I was seeing things. At first it looked like a large cat or a dog but then he started hopping away. Those ears had to be 20 inches high and he stretched about 3 feet as he hoped. I stopped the car and had to get my camera phone but he was too fast! Oh my goodness!

I am now working with my daughter at a public school canteen,my daughter is the manager & I am second in charge,we serve the kids, make the sandwiches & hot foods,salad plates etc etc. Its been quite enjoyable but very busy & I sometimes wonder what I did b4 with my time :)

Lol at your comments,we have holidays here in Oz about every 10-12 weeks, but last term is our Christmas(Summer) hols- we have 5 almost 6 weeks off & we are always relieved & pleased when they end & school starts back. :D .
Would you believe I had to make a dozen salads today including salad plates & salad bowls, you would think in the middle of winter the kids & teachers would want hot food, I say bring on summer :p
