Making embellishment packs

I must be having a senior moment. No, no, it's getting to be a career. I thought I had things figure out with the program, but I guess I forgot where I put it all.

There seems to be a lot of confusion among our illustrious members, including myself ( a mere peon), about how to share embellishments etc. I notice Corey puts them in smb format, others in smt, and others.... Well, you get the picture.

Now, for the sake of simplicity and in order to save my sanity, or what is left of it, could be adopt a simple, universal plan for doing this. Or, please, explain why use smb or smt. I notice that Corey's floral pack ended up in embellishments under photo. How did he get them to go there without passing go and collecting $200? And how do you go about doing the file to begin with?

There was a post about how to create a "smb" file using an install.ini ... I can't seem to find it though... Maybe someone can repost? :confused:

A "smt" file is a Scrapbook Max Template"... This is a the file type that is created when you "export" a template. This file contains all the images and information about how your template was created... i.e object positions, page names, etc.

A "smb" is a zip file that images and an "install.ini" file, which has instructions where to place the images... Here's the contents of the INI file that installs my "Flash Cards" alphabet...

Here is the information about creating .SMB (Scrapbook MAX! booster pack) files.

They are a fast and easy way to create packs of embellishments etc that you want to share. It is basically a .zip file with some smarts built in to it that Scrapbook MAX! can recognize, and automatically install the files to the locations you want.

Thank you so much for this info. I remembered seeing it somewhere, but much as I used the search option, and program files, and everywhere else, I could not find it. I really was having a senior moment.
