I have been off the air for a few days and will be for a little while, I have taken quite a turn for the worse and not functioning too well but came on this afternoon to see how things were going. This is one post I absolutely had to make because of the L/o's that have been placed her - they are sinply stunning anf I feel proud to have supported Jazz in thie s.
I've been taken out pretty serious;y at the moment and am pretty much bed rifderen - had to say helllo thos.

Please forgive my absence, take it as a respite from me for a while. When I can I will back on, any personal messages, Irene (eye) has my home e-mail.

Sorry to post tihhe here but one post will see me out.

Hello everyone.

I have not deserted you! I have sat here and read the messages you have left for me and I have been touched to tears that so many people would leave such wonderful messages of encouragement and good wishes. I do apologise for not having come on sooner but in all honesty I have had so much to contend with this past week.

I avoided hospital but only by my stubborness and realise that I may have been my own worst enemy in this regard but I have had so much hospital time throughout my fight with the cancer that I will do almost anything to keep away. There is a quite a bit I have not mentioned regarding the fight I have had over so many long years - this public forum is not the place for that but believe me, every day is a battle now.

I miss having my say here and am anxcious to get back on a regular basis to keep you all in line - God know's you need it :)

Your wishes and prayers are deeply appraciated - don't give up on me I will be back (you poor things) but for a little while may be only a casual visitor. I am amzed at how quickly I have developed friendships here and I miss the repore that has developed between us.

I have stuck my nose in to catch up a bit with the Scrapsville residents and see my farm is in good hands, crops attended to and the apes are still running a muck - thanks to everyone for their help :D

I will come on when I can and look forward to returning as a regular as soon as I can - they are saying that hospital is still their preference to give me the greatest chance but we will see.

I love (agape) and miss you all, pleasde keep praying for me/keeping good thoughts for me.

Have been replying to some e-mails and wanted to come on and check up on you all. I've just been telling a few of you (you know who you are) that I am stepping forward every day but that I didn't want to come back with too much gusto too soon and then... I come on here and see what is happening, especially with the Military Pages thread and boy - what a shot in the arm!!!!!!

Physically I am fine (as one can be with TC) - but you can all stop worrying about me physically, I am up and about, with the faries a bit because of the morphine but I am up and about, looking after myself and living.

I just have this big lump of psychological crud that I am battling and I don't want to come on here full-time until I feel ready - you all know how sensative you women are - I've got to be at full strength in order to cope with the extra pressure from you lot!!!!:p

Having come on to see how things are going I read through Jazz's thread on the 'Shelbz and Jazz Fully Rockin DVD Scrapbook Show Tour 2007'. That has just given me a massive BOOST and I mean MASSIVE

I won't promise anything but I would love to add a page - I haven't done any scrapping work for weeks and weeks now, it has been the last thing on my mind but this is just the most fantastic news. I hope I am not being too big headed or stealing anyone's thunder but I feel really glad to have blown on the embers of Jazz's original thread and started the Chain of Honor, I feel I have contributed in some way and for all the right reasons. I just feel good in myself (and I haven't felt like that for some time). Shelbz and Jazz have certainly taken it far beyond what I ever imagined and every contributor deserves recognition for their efforts.

Thank you everyone whether you have prayed or just had a good thought for me, everyone of you are 'Precious Earth' and I thank my God for you.

Anyway, I am swallowing hard and gritting my teeth, taking forward steps everyday and will come on more and more as I get my head around everything - and then you will all be sorry:p

Keep up the prayers and good thoughts - they are having a positive effect. I have no idea how I can ever thank you all for taking me in the way you have, I just can't ever see how saying thank you will even begin to express my sentiments towards you.

You do need to be in tip top shape to put up with this crowd though so keep resting or doing whatever you need to get feeling better. We want you back on your farm as soon as you can! It looks great but if you wait to long the apes will mess it all up and we women will have to go clean it all over again!!!!

I see the humour - I said I was coming back - I may not be.
Nothing to do with this which I think is comical - but I may not be back for some time - I am sorry to be on again off again - carry on without me.

Here is my problem for the world to see. Besides the cancer which they can't fix - I have had 40 months of chemo over 9 years - more than most can handle but I kept saying yes - 3 of the cytotoxins used cause brain damage - one in particular 'vincristine' is very dangerous and damages parts of the brain - much of this I control but it is hard. I also had too much radiation therapy and also was part of a glogal trial for a new cancer treatment - Mabthera. I had 'hot mabthera which is in combination with radioactive isotopes. On the trial they said there not much good for me but for those who came behind me - I volunteered for extra treatment - how much radioactive treatment can a person survive - they tested me and said I could get rid of more in the same time as anyone else in the trial - I volunteered for a double dose. 2 years later I the cancer was going wild again and they said they wanted to try more - I said yes to triple dose of everything. I still can perform a great party trick when I walk past a radio.

I am still alive but the cytotoxins have damaged my brain and will lead to dementia, 3 rounds of radiation therapy, double dose of radiactive material followed by a triple dose of radioactuive material, too many x-rays to count, too many CT scans, 5 operaqtions, 12 bone marrow aspirates (I have these with no sedative - I have a pretty high pain tolerance and have even surprised the doctors by reaching behind me, grabbing their elbow and helping them push to get the trefine core needle all the way through the hip bone) I wish I never had treatment sometimes.

The radioactive stuff has given me avascular necrosis - the blood supply to my bones has been destroyed by the radiation and my bones are dying and rotting. I have it in both hips, knees, shoulders, elbows, most long bones both jaws (my teeth are rotting away) and lower spine I am on 200 mgs of morphine a day.

My wife has been in australia 6 years from the UK and was due to get her permanant residency early this year but now we find that in august last year a document we sent them never arrived so she has had to leave the country and start again. Leaving 2 cgildren and me with no support. I took a bad fall the other day and jarred my hips and all that can be done is more morphine - I have to look after our boys and I have no one to help. I am fighting the government but not getting very far.

I am at my wits end. All the treatment has left me with these 2 serious, chronic, incurable side effects which in themselves have side effects such as - no sense of smaell, very little sense of taste, peripheral nerve damage, central nervous system damage, chronic sinucitis, chronic mucosus, disorientation, confusion, unsteadiness, loss of where I am, seeing things that don't exist, great fatigue, depression but I know I can't give up.

Everyone knows everything now and I have done this not for sympathy but to say this is why you may need to forget that ever came here and got involved.

I have honestly loved this group of regulars but I am not able to keep up with everything and I must priuotise - the boy's must come first. Social worker is tryoing to get some extra help and my politician is trying to get immigration sorted out to get Hannah back home to look after us all. This may all sound unbelievable - believe it or not I am an honest man and this si why I am not around at the moment - all these things have become too much for me. Anyone who REALLY, TRULY wants to keep inn ccontact my e-mail is known to some regulars - I wom't put it here because everyone see's this but the scrapsville people and my known regulars - you all know who you are can e-mail if you want you (the ones that have commented in this thread) - I don't expect anything but I will e-mail those that have a genuine interest in my as a person. No pity just friendship.

Those that I have come to know here are special people and I am sorry to dump all this on you but you deserve to know why I am leaving. It has nothing to do with anything other than my health and current circumstances regarding this disgusting decision made by Australian immigration. I am a 5th generation Aussie and I am disgusted that a lost piece of mail would lead to this outcome.

I am sorry but that is the way it is, I will miss thise of you that have become my friends here, anyone who wants to contact me nanwu, granny, Jazz and eye are people I know have my e-mail and they will give it to you. Nan, gran, jazz and eye, you know who the guys are that I love and would like to keep in contact with - the ones from this thread mostly.

I am so sorry for this but I also took a bad fall last week and they aren't sure what has happened to my bones as a result so have upped the morph as well so that I can still look after the boys. Of course, with Hannah gone so has our primary income so it is tough in other ways too.

There - it has all been said now - I so sorry but I have to tell you the real truth about everything as to why.
