Hi all..
I'm still alive and kicking! Thanks for the concern Rosana and Eye!
I have been away this weekend, went to a long awaited Keith Urban concert in Manchester, six hours drive it was, well if you include the part where we got lost! We arrived Saturday lunchtime in Manchester only to find the concert had been cancelled cos Keith had lost his voice! As you can imagine I was gutted, and my boyfriend Steve wasn't too chuffed either, he hadn't been that keen on going in the first place.
So we wasted £50 on petrol, £50 on the hotel room, and ended up watching 'Wild Hogs' at the cinema and pigging out on Chinese food.
Sunday we called to see my Mum up in Yorkshire, she is very ill, but she wasn't having too bad a day, so of course out came my camera, and no doubt I will be filling the gallery with the results in the next few days!
Back to work this morning, out planting a lavender hedge in the sun, though it hasnt half been windy here today! Brrrrr..
Anyhow, Keith is touring again in October, I expect I will have forgiven him by then, though whether I will forgive him for marrying Nicole Kidman is another matter :)

Hi Eng!
We had booked in a a travel lodge at sportcity, but when we got there we didnt fancy stopping the night, it wasnt very nice to say the least! Anyway, we found another place nearby called Diamond Lodge, which was a bit cheaper, cleaner and we got a breakfast included! It was just opposite a greyhound stadium. When I was a little kid in Bradford, I seem to vaguely remember going on a day trip to Belle Vue Zoo, I wonder if that was at the same place?

It is a work in progress but for now on, all our regulars need to have a buddy. Sort of like AA. You got to check in with your buddy. Not just by email or PM but a buddy with a telephone number! So I would recommend a local buddy!!!! We are a bunch of worry warts around here. I think we're going to suggest if your going off, put it on the calender. Maybe we can remind everyone, as they tell us they are going off, to please post on the callender.

We love each and everyone on this forum! :D You are missed when you disappear for even a day or two!!!! :)

I agree. That is why I started the Buddy thread in the suggestion area and now do have a buddy and have started the process of exchanging email, phone and emergency person contact info.

Happy to say, that there is another Sue and she has agreed to buddy with me since we both live in Illinois.

Not too sure if the calendar part is going to work well. I did mark it for the 2nd thru the 8th when I will be offline. However, thinking it might get overfull and cumbersome to look at because there are so many of us.
