just thought id best apologise for my lack of comments in the gallery and on the boards.....

i spilt coffee on my laptop keyboard a week ago :eek: and although it has dried out enough to work again the keys are all sticky - dispite cleaning (and i had to use my vodka!) so trying to type is like ....well a nightmare! im having to practically punch each letter in and the spacebar is trying to help me invent a new language! :eek:

hopefully either the keyboard will start to loosen up or this little lappy may be off to get some major repair work done - it may also end up hitting a wall soon!! :eek:

so if i dont comment im not being rude xxx

Hummmmmm coffee, now that reminds me of a comic that Granny (I think) posted of a lady on her computer with coffee pot and all the kitchen accessories around it. Went looking for that little carton but can not find it! It's real cute and oh so true to us addicts around here.

That is the only thing I hav against lappy's, expensive to repair. You can't take them apart or replace a keyboard like a pc. A new keyboard is cheap for a pc , but a lappy impossible to replace without taking to a professional and can affect the whole machine if a problem ! I love my lappy though :)

oh wow, spilling things in the keyboards is a baaaad thing. When I was working, I was in charge of the computer equipment. I had to keep a supply of keyboards on hand. Even if we didn't spill anything in them, our keyboards were well overworked. But to spill in a laptop is an entirely different bigger problem. You can replace keyboards for $10-15. Hopefully it will start working right for you and you won't have to have it cleaned.

I also have had two keyboards with spilt drinks on them, tried the drying out process, & found some of the keys were missing,looked into fixing them but found it was cheaper to just go buy another one, I wish you luck & hope you are back on track soon

There is a translater on the internet Terry, I use it all the time. It is called Babel.

It is very easy to use, you just cut and paste your text and translate. But sometimes even with that a joke is hard to translate. Rosana has a great sense of humor. Her English is getting better and better, but I still use the translater when needed.
