Not really thinking this is as worthy of a big debate as just a personal favor I'd like to ask of you.
Could we all re-evaluate whether a few of the siggy glitter-girls dress are family friendly?
I'd appreciate the consideration.

I feel like a numpty! What is/are glitter girls siggy something? Now I'm curious?! What am I missing?!

Julie: Some people have in their signature lines, glitter girls from a website "glitterourway.com".
A couple I've seen have very busty women with revealing clothing on (or off, as the case may be!)--I'm new and can't tell you one person from another, so it's not personal. I just know I've seen at least a couple out there that have grabbed my attention.
I'd just like us to think about it before more people consider using the .com service for their siggies?
The figures are just fun caricatures, and it was funny the first day I saw them...but, I do have young kids and a protective husband in full view of my kitchen computer.
With a 10 yr. old son, we just guard images on the computer or TV for good reasons.
I hope that makes sense?

Makes perfect sense Maggie.

Makes perfect sense to me to ...... I have a sigi from the website and choose a pic that is [hopefully] family friendly.
Is it certain signatures or the fact that the signatures are from a website that "offer" revealing busty characters that you want us to consider? Basically asking if my sigi is ok or if using that site in itself is offensive for a family forum. We all have different ideas about what is acceptable and what is not and you bringing this up is very valid. :)

Well, I am going by this one, haven't really taken a lot of notice of th others. I don't have a problem with yours muma, see girls dressed like this in the street. Not today though it's snowing :D Seriously though I haven't noticed the others and I don't have young children.

I love the little glittery things...I may have to get one myself!
I can't speak for everyone, but my personal request is only that we try to stay within forum policies of family-friendly content.
I already have no doubt that you ALL are all no doubt very lovely ladies in every way! (I know you are all "Hot" if you prefer that terminology, though lovely is the ultimate compliment in my book.)
(AmeliasMuma, for what it's worth, I say yours today and thought, "Well, now that one is cute, I'm glad to know they have some fun/good options to choose from.")
Thanks for the thoughtful consideration, sweet PMs, and otherwise the kind spirit the prevails here.

I'm glad to be "in the know" now! Thanks! So far no one seems to have anything not suitable but it's good to know there are some out there that would be way out of place here!
Now I know what a siggy line is!! :p

Julie: There are a couple here in question, why I'm risking bringing it up. I do thing you all are all "blingy" girls and hopes everyone runs out and gets some "bling"...I just did!
I'm sure there are worse, but that's the reason for the request.
Thanks--

I will admit, some of the ones I looked at [in the area where you choose the character, all you see are the faces] I instantly rejected because they were a little too much for this forum.

Now I have my glittery signature but I don't know how to get it into my signature - I tried to drop it in but that didn't work. Can someone help? It is cute and says "MaggieMae". Thanks!

MaggieMae...I'm here to help you get your bling on!
Okay. On their website, click "grab"....scroll down and there will be a box that says "code for use in forums". Copy that code.
Go to "User CP". On the left of the page, you will see "edit signature line".
Put the code into the text box (that box looks just like the one I'm typing in now). Then click "preview" to see your creation. Then "save" or whatever.
Can't wait to see it!

when you get the design you like, click grab it.
2 boxes appear, one code is for myspace and the other for forums. Highlight and copy the full text from the forums box then place the text in your sigi editor. That should be all you need to do.
Hope this helps, if not, just let us know and we'll try to find out what is going on.:)

Marion just informed us on another thread that using siggy lines with adverts in them (links to other sites, as this one has) are against the rules.
Sorry guys, I didn't remember that part of the TOU.
Keep using it if you want, but I wouldn't recommend it.
I hate to give up my bling! Maybe we can make our own somehow? I think we can use our computer fonts as long as we aren't sharing the files with other users--which we wouldn't be with siggy lines.

ah so these sigs with their web site on them are against forum rules? Not complaining just looking for confirmation. If so I'm gonna make a little scrap image for my sig. It wont be sparkly n all that but it sure will be pretty LOL

Muma and others- I just wanted it corrected that Marion did not say that, I did, I did not say it to offend anyone in here but a while back there was a thread about the advertiment of anything besides SBM in this forum, is not accepted. I am sorry that I had to burst the bubble in here, for that I really do appologize. I personally dont see the reason why it can't be shown, and I think they are really neat, I do believe there are other sites where you can find ways around this! Maybe someone can do some research!:) :)

Hey you didn't burst a bubble ..... just created a challenge [for me at least] to come up with something maybe more scrapbooking in style for sig lines. Perhaps if we can come up with a little format or some art work we can start creating these for each other :D ... Now that might be fun. Maybe come up with an appropriate size [so it doesn't cover half the screen] that we can all work to. How does that sound?
We will adapt and overcome ..... as the saying goes in the Marine corps

Whow what is all this glitter about:eek: ...Here is a bit of common sence for you that I use:" Be careful reading the fine print. There's no way you're going to like it." written by cave men" I think."
Now for some important news: Do you realize that in about 40 years from now we will have thousands of old ladies running around with tattoos and earings in their navls. Now that is glitter:D

Very funny Smile, You always make me do that (smile that is)
I am glad I am not one of those ladies, no tattoos or navel piercings!
Those cute little roses on the young girls breast turn into long stemmed roses! And the cute little bitty butterflies become huge moths! :)
