My name is Lyn, I am from Regional South Australia and a mum who has a beautiful 21 month old son. I am very snap happy with my camera and have lots of photos to work with. I was using a basic photo program to do scrapbooking until i found this site last week. Now i can really have fun.
My first project is a family album for my son. I have plenty of ideas for future themes. I look forward to sharing some once i get creative enough. Cheers :)

I didnt realize there were sooo many other Australians on the forum... hello to all of you.. I am from Adelaide too, same as Mini Moonbeam, she's my daughter but dont hold that against me!!! :) I used to live in the country... what part of SA are you? I lived in Mt Gambier for a while and loved it.. and also on the Yorke peninsula at Edithburgh. But stuck in the city these days:(
Its great to have you join us here and you will find everyone very helpful with any problems you have with SBM.
hi there & welcome from another Aussie in Sydney :)
You will love it here, the program is easy, the people so friendly & helpful, I wonder what I used to do before finding this treasure :) Enjoy :D
My we Aussies are plentiful now, poor Granny is feeling a little left out, heres a hug for you *HUG*, & am making you an honourary Aussie :).
07-26-2006, 07:26 AM
Are you hearing that Granny? Little do they knew that your not alone in the USA............ right? :D Granny, mabye we should go on a vacation to meet those Aussies's? I think they think they out number the rest of us!!!! All seriousnous, it would be interesting to know how many countries are represented here! Is there a way to start a thread that we can cut and paste the country we're located? You know, a list of who we are, under each country. I would like to see a visual of all our names on the same page!
We do welcome all the newbies, no matter where your from! This forum and the people here are so wonderful. You will quickly discover a special relationship between us all. I do hope you will jump right in and get your feet wet! There is always something to learn here!

I'm an Aussie now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D Life is good. Thank you for the honour!!!
Onie, what an expendid idea. We should go there and start a Cuban Revolution! Ops, no, scratch that.... Sorry folks, my roots are showing  . No, not blond roots, Cuban roots. :p
I would love to go to Australia. I have a great deal of respect for them Aussies, even if they stand on their heads all the time. So, Onie, let me know when the next ship sails, I'll be ready.
Oh... Do I get to own a roo? I'll call him Wally! (Shut up, Moonbeam, I don't want to hear it)
I think having a threat to show were we live and are from would be nice. Maybe some higher powers would get the hint that people really can live and work in peace along with each other, and care for each other no matter who we are!!!!!
07-26-2006, 04:54 PM
Granny, I've told you before you are booked in here at my place! but as for the kangaroo! its not a wally - its a wallaby - you are the wally!! learn to speak Australian before you come ....and it's good to see you are trying - I see you used the Australian spelling on the word Honour ( not your version -honor) well done!!!!
07-26-2006, 09:40 PM

Some one should have you commited! That means taken to the looney house and keep there by the white coats! :p
07-28-2006, 08:34 PM
Granny, I think I agree with you! What the heck is Moonbeam chanting! Sounds pretty weird to me! Maybe it's some accoult? Or again, maybe we need to get her commited!
07-28-2006, 08:39 PM
Leave the poor Aussue girl alone, we have our own slang here too.
I would hate to have us all commited, then who would we scrap with!
07-28-2006, 08:56 PM
I've really needed a good laugh, as Granny said, my heart was getting purple. The laugh was really appreciated. So I guess we'll leave Moonbeam alone! I'm sure she knows we love her!!!!!
07-29-2006, 03:39 AM

Was wondering if someone could help me with the cost of the program in aussie dollars and how you get the program is there somewhere in aussie to get it or do you buy it from the states
here is a nifty little device for converting USA dollars to Aussie dollars & vice versa, plus other countries-hope it helps :)
07-31-2006, 02:18 AM
Yes! I just downloaded it from THIS site and charged it to my credit card..... the bank does the conversion for you.. and Scrapbook Max will post the Cd to you...that link above will let you know how much to exp[ect it to be in Aussie dollars ( sorry I cant remember) ....You will not regret buying it!!!
07-31-2006, 02:23 AM
Thank you for the info, I currently use adobe elements but I want something that I can just jump on and do a quick page, how long have you been digi scrapping, it doesnt seem as big here as in the states, where do you live in SA I live at Balaklava about 1 hr from adelaide, this program seems easy enough to use, does the cd take long to get her?
Thank you for your help
07-31-2006, 05:17 AM
Hi again, I live in the Northern Suburbs .. so along Port Wakefield Rd probably about 20 -30 minutes from you! We're neighbours!!!http://www.smileypad.com/v224/Happy/Big-Thumbs-Up.gif
My daughter ( Mini-Moonbeam) introduced me originally to scrapbooking and i was hooked and late found Scrapbook Max and have leaned towards Digital scrapbooking ever since...I have been so enthralled by it that along with Granny and Lady bug ( also from this forum ) we are working on a website where we will offer the things you mentioned.. even ready to use pages.
I think we are pretty much as "into this" as in the USA.. we dont have nearly the population here but Scrapbooking is growing at an astounding rate..and you would be amazed at how many Aussies there are even on this forum.
The Cd should take 7 - 14 days to arrive but in the meantime you can download the program on your computer http://www.smileypad.com/v224/Misc/Typing.gif .. even if you just want to "trial" it!
