Ok, so I'm getting the chairs set up outside in the back yard to get ready for dinner...My honey is frying out and my neighbor (who also is my cousin, long story) comes out to help me get other things ready. I let my doggie out to enjoy the attention and along comes a stray dog...Out of no where too...My dog goes to chase that dog, and in the meantime, he is wrapping his chain around the grill and the chairs I so nicely put out. The stray then runs further then my dog can reach and he goes until he chokes himself...The grill topples over, and my chairs go flying in the pine trees...The grass is burning, I go and get my honey, who went to get water for those little flames that pop up, and let him know that we now need a hose, not a cup of water...We both get back outside and my dog and the stray are eating the meat that was on the grill before it fell over...
We got the mess cleaned up and got McDonald's....
So how was your 4th? lol :eek:

Continuation of the backyard disaster....I had to go out there this morning to clean up the mess, (since it was too hot to do much with it yesterday...) Two bad things happened...I am still alittle sick, I think from the McDonald's, and to make the whole episode worse, the landlord happened to pop on over today like he always does...(an old man with nothing better to do...he is here like twice a week), anyways, he is over observing the burn hole in the grass, and asked me what happened...I told him the story, and he still, charged me $50 to replace the grass!!!!!!!! Granted it is a nice size area that got it, but geez......He takes pride in his yard...Too much, if you ask me...I was more then willing to buy some grass green spray paint and make it look as good as new...ROFL!!!!! He didn't like that too much... (Man, I better sell a lot of kits...lol) :rolleyes: I have to get back to work...

starts to wake up with a thirst like you could not beleave. still blood pooring out dont know how long ill last. need water need water. cant see to much blood sniffs around ohhhhhhhh i think i found water its kind of like a trickling sound could it be a fountian? leans over to take a lap of some and falls in from loss of blood. help help i think im drowning .

I pulled that mutt out of the fountain and carried it to the vet at the Peekaboo Clinic..it got all scratched trying to jump the gate into Scrapsville..I carried it out to the Ape Obedience School..if my memory serves me this little critter was here before causing all kind of mayheim...maitience men are going to drain the fountain and clean it out and refill it with fresh water..in the mean time I would stay away from there..

I had a very quiet 4th..went to my moms in a car with no air..nearly passed out from the heat..on the way home my o2 tank ran out..that with the heat zapped me for the last 2 days been sleeping off and on...I wake up...go to the computer..next thing I know...one of the kids are coming in waking me up telling me to get back in the bed..when I raise up I have a terrible headache and a stiff neck...sooo thats how my 4th went LOL I've been sitting here about an hr this time and still awake so maybe Im over it..
Steve you know you loved all those comments on your grilling..and please..if you must leave wolvsie when you go on vacation...leave someone to watch her..you know how she is!!!
It sure is quiet in here without crops...its almost time for her to be back..wonder what tales she will have about this trip lol..

I was going to post this in joke of the day, but didn't think it mattered since it goes well here too...I had a dream last night about scrapville....Not kidding either...We were all made out of paper, our houses, tress, etc, everything....lol...We made our own clothes out of paper, we even ate what we drew on paper....It was wierd...Steve was a dog walker...lol...Everyone else here did their own thing...It was cool in a way...Granny was always gettinge even with the town and poured water on peeps bushes and flowers, etc...since they were made of paper, it would shribble up and we had to make new ones...We put black paper in the sky when night time came, and we threw paper stars up there too...My youngest son would make his pants to big, so we used tape to keep them on his body....It was hilarious...No more cheesy poofs before bed....ROFL!!!!!!!!! :D

OMG! Wolvsie that story is toooo funny!!!! And your landlord reminds me of my DH! He is anal about our yard! He spends a lot of time and energy on it. But now that his asthma has gotten so bad he can't keep up with it like he used to and it's killing him. He hasn't even watered it much this year and it's turning brown in areas because of our lack of rain here. Everyone around us gets rain-but our little town gets missed all the time.

Jazz you have got to stay out of that heat!! Take care of yourself and maybe we could open the public pool so everyone could cool off and quit contaminating our fountain!!

Steve you know you love grilling!! You have so many tasty meals going on here that you can't help but be a grill master!

I have my 4 year old grandson from Iowa this week, so I have just been popping in here an there to check things out and it's been a bit busy at times. This is the first time my grandson's mom let me have him.:) So I am so excited. She couldn't bear to let him come out here for a week, she misses him too much. I can sure see why--he's a hoot and I'm loving every minute of it.

*BANGING POTS AND PANS* HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOO EVERYONE!!! I'M BACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!
HEY Granny did ya miss me, huh? huh? Ohhh you dont have to tell me I am sure YOU did!!! I missed you and I told everyone at the campfire al about your story of Chocolate! Ohhh we had a few good laughs on that one! Then went out to the store to buy TONS of chocolate! LOL But sorry to say, No killings were done this week.
I actually had a great time! yea miss this computer and MISSED ALL OF YOU GUYS!!!! But there was no fighting this year, I couldnt believe it!! We all got along sooo well!
I didnt see any bears either, just one deer and it walked right in front of the car, but the camera was in the trunk. So of course that was the only one I saw the whole week.
But I did make FIRE! LOL and did the fire dance, ohhh soooo funny. My kids had the time of their life, watching me dance around the fire!! It only took 5 tries to make it! LOL If ya ever saw that movie with Tom Hanks(forget what its called) hes on the beach and makes fire... well thats what it was like. Except I had a lighter and lighter fluid! LOL I never used lighter fluid before, I had no idea how much of that stuff to use and apparently didnt use enough the first 4 times! But the 5th time was a charm!!! and OMG was there FIRE! LOL Thats when the dance started. All because the kids wanted to make smores!!!
It was a relaxing time though, didnt get to see the fireworks this year, it rained all day. Well I guess I could go on and on and on, but I did get some pictures and when I get around to it, they'll be in the gallery.
WOW we got a pharmacy now!!! Gonna stop by, I need some bandages, I fell on a boulder, had to protect the camera and went down on my wrist. OUCH! But dont worry I got pictures!!! LOL

We have been in true chaos here!! We knew we needed to sell one place or the other and couldn't stand to give up our little Arizona place. We put this home on the market and it sold in 2 days!! Yikes and Eeeeek and everything else!! We are packing and sorting like crazy - all the stuff we've gathered over years and years is going here and there but not to Arizona! We need to major downsize!

We'll be on the move about August 7 but the computer will be packed before then! Help!!

Doll..so happy you have you precious GS with you and alone at that..Gages Granddad flew to oregon about 2 yrs ago and brought Gage back.he spent time with them in Huntsville then they brought him to me..angie flew in and picked him up and stayed a few days..it was great..for awhile.. after he went home, when I talked to him on the phone he would say "nana I want to come to your house..can you come and get me...made me feel so bad and so good at the same time!
My oher GS have always lived with me so they are more like my kids..couldn't get them and spoil them and send them home LOL
MANATEE I will play nana for a few days..just box the kids up and send them to me ..I will have fun spoling them really good and then send them back to you..

I'm sorry I didn't hear your pots and pans you were banging, but I saw the flash of the sun hitting them....my flu has turned into a very bad cold and an ear infection, which has made me pretty much deaf in both ears, ARG! I'm doing the old lady thing -- "WHAT? WHAT? SPEAK UP!!" But anyway....I have done that fire dance thingy, too! (The movie with Tom Hanks is "Castaway"...I have it and watch it alllllllll the time!) Hubby and I have a fire bowl in our backyard, and when we have the grandkids for their stayovers, if it's summertime (or the weather is nice) we make a little fire and roast marshmallows and hotdogs. They have seen me do the fire dance and have giggled their little hearts out! Such fun! But hey...I can light the fire in ONE TRY...I learned how years ago when I was a Cub Scout leader, LOL! :D

Wow!! Finally got some much needed rain here today! It washed away wolvsies hole digger!!! Now we have to work on getting her to fill in the holes. No more hold digger--no more holes--no more destruction. We have all worked so hard to make scrapsville livable!! Before we got here the apes had it stinking, and a mess!!! We have opened so many wonderful businesses and built some fine houses. So let's keep it that way peeps!! I am going to have to raise taxes to pay for all the cleanup!!

Knzus, so sorry to hear about your hubby. I was just going to post about my problems which are trivial next to yours.

My hubby was fixing a pipe under our bathroom sink (upstairs). He was just about done when I heard water coming down in our dining room (downstairs). I was in the kitchen. OHHH MANNNN!!! This has happened before but in a different spot. Apparently a pipe inside the wall gave way. It must have been ready to go and just the little bit of movement from hubby working on it, made it let loose. Now we can't use the bathroom sink until he can tear into the wall (through the vanity). The vanity is hooked in pretty solid and we have a stone top on it. He may also have to open the ceiling in the Dining Room, depending on where the pipe is located. The ceiling right now just has a crack in it, but it looks like I am going to have to do some more plastering! I plastered the whole ceiling when we moved in. Then had to patch a spot near where the tub is located above it, when we sprung a leak there a couple of years ago.

I am glad it cooled off a little too, because our Air conditioner (central air) is trying to die on us. It keeps freezing up. It just did it early this evening. It should be thawed out by tomorrow. (hopefully) I have alergies that make it hard to breath w/o the air.

When it rains it pours....UH..Maybe I shouldn't use that expression LOL

What a shame.We have the second biggest carnivel here in England every Whitsun holiday (end of May) People come form all over the country and the costumes for the procession and the stalls are all amazing. For the first time it had to be cancelled because the rain was so bad itwas considered too dangerous. They lost thousands and the poor people especilly the children who had started making costumes as soon as the last one was over, it;s so sad.I feel for you. I hope you have some good luck. I have finally found my way back from the potions, lotions and chemical vault that we have here in Scrapsville. Location has to be kept secret for obvious reasons but boy oh boy we are set for ANYTHING and I realy do mean ANYTHING. There is enough "stuff" down there to keep us all green n lean for years. Yep I do mean green. :D

Saying we have chemicals here for everything, that aint quite true. Gonna be asking for help here. Does anyone know of anything that can get those milk stain out of cloths [esp the soy chocolate milk kind]. In fact stains in general. I've tried so many products out there that I'm now lost as to what to try next. So many of Amy's clothes have either milk, tomato and even "unkown" stains. I need the good old fashioned "will work no matter what stain you got" remover.

Two things I have found that gets almost any stain out, and even in carpets....The best one is called 'Simple Green" it works for all household jobs...and smells good too...the other is GOOP....Works well on my clothes and I never go anywhere far without it...!!!!

Every time we try giving her a proper cup to drink out of she thinks she has been given a chance to make a waterfall. Rice, potatoes, cake etc are new hair preps, sauce is a new facial cream. Oh and even when she does drink she likes to imitate a water fountain. I need wall to wall plastic or tile and you most definitely do not want to know what I found her trying to cook last night. Lets put it this way, I now have to soak, bleach and sanitize her little kitchen. It was a horror story.

A lot of complications going on with his medical problems, but we just keep praying daily things will get worked out. Thank you for the thoughts, Doll. Such a long story on hubby's medical problems (I would type it out, but I don't think everyone wants to hear the details and it's 15 years worth, LOL)... but, yes, he IS feeling better, not back to work yet, doctor appt Monday -- just keep him in your prayers. It's just something that continues to get progressivley worse over time. I try to give it over to the Lord, but being human, that's kinda hard sometimes, so I worry about him a lot.

Some of you already know I started a journal for Emmy..well, even before she was born...her journal has sorta turned into a book and it is mainly about all of you. I have been taking the 'story of scrapville' and putting it in a book for her.
I now have a HUGE favor to ask...I need pics, just small face shots would be great because I have also decided to illustrate it as well. Nothing I want published (although it does make for some very funny reading) I read all of your posts to her every day or every morning depending when she wakes up( I know she can't hear me but in time I will be able to sign) and I want to be able to leave her with my memories of you all and this wonderful community that have taken us into your hearts. So if you who are members of the scrapville community can send me a small pic it would be deeply appreciated. I plan on 'pasting' heads on simple stick or cartoon like bodies...something she will be able to understand and grasp the meaning of the story. Well thanks for looking and thinking about it I am sure Emmy will thank you when she is old enough.:)

The wedding was perfect but it would have been better if you all had gotten the details right.........I missed you all! First, the wedding was Saturday night at Sunset. We had 18 total at the wedding. They threw and dumped a bowl of bird seed on our heads, as we were leaving. We had bird seeds everywhere! Second, we stayed locally Saturday night then spent the day with my brother and his wife, as they were only here for the weekend, from California. We went to "Old Mesilla, NM" then to a Casino. Third, We will be leaving for IL next week. Will be gone for about 12 days! I will be taking the laptop with us! John is going to do a major computer and electronic repairs, here at the house! Dang he has his job cut out for him!

Well I did it!! I went to the Dentist and get this... I need root canal!! YIKESSSSSSSS!!!! They wanted to do it tomorrow but my insurance will only pay half, and I need the money right now, sooo I told them they will have to wait for 2 weeks. They put a temp filling in, so hopefully it will last 2 weeks. I can't eat anything hard or eat on that side. Ohhh what a fun 2 weeks this is gonna be. LOL Thank God chocolate is SOFT!!! hahahaha Ok I done ramblin about my woes specially since other peeps have bigger ones, and would rather have root canal than face some of their stuff.

aww crops Root canals plain and simple SUCK! They don't hurt really any more than getting a filling but they still suck lol.

I got the BEST birthday present's Monday. Mark came home with a cake, a card and gave me $50.00 (bethca can't guess what I'm buyin with it!;)) Ya gotta remember, this is the FIRST time he's remembered my birthday in 7..yep 7 years! But the BEST part was I got to see a 450 pound Black bear!!!! They are finally comin back! A few years ago, they were so over hunted up here that they all but disappeared. It's so exciting! I'm going to try to get pics of her if she comes back and i hope she does. LOL I am like a kid in the candy store.

Emily got weighed yesterday. Get this, she weighs 7 pounds 9 ounces and is 20.25 inches long! I couldn't believe it! I knew she was going through a growth spurt but WOW! II guess we are going to try her on cereal this week. I'm a little scared but one of her therapists ill be doing the actual feeding.

I witnessed the most beautiful thing I ever saw this morning. Mark woke Emily up this morning around 4:30. When I woke up he was laying next to her on the bed with her head in the crook of his arm and he as singing her that Billy Joel Lullaby and kissing her forehead! I almost cried it was sooo sweet but I pretended to be sleeping. (Mark works out of town alot and he got called out this am and won't be home till Friday) I wish I could have gotten a picture he looked like he was in Heaven.

OMG Shell, I had almost the same thing happen to me when I was 13, except it was a size 10 rollerskate! I was stupid and made my dentist work for 2 years to fix my face after the plastic surgeon got done with it! Well things have been very busy for John and I! His daughter and son-in-law moved back here, couple days before wedding. They've been staying with us. Been getting them jobs and an apartment. Tonight, they will be staying in their own place. Got the apartment yesterday and spent the day getting their stuff moved in. Also, John is finishing up getting moved out of his apartment. All his stuff is being handed over to his daughter so they have their own stuff. Today we need to go take care of business related to our getting married. We will be ready for our trip next week!!!!!!!!!

All and all, things are going well but we're looking forward to being able to chase each other all over the house in our birthday suits! :D

aww crops Root canals plain and simple SUCK! They don't hurt really any more than getting a filling but they still suck lol.

I got the BEST birthday present's Monday. Mark came home with a cake, a card and gave me $50.00 (bethca can't guess what I'm buyin with it!;)) Ya gotta remember, this is the FIRST time he's remembered my birthday in 7..yep 7 years! But the BEST part was I got to see a 450 pound Black bear!!!! They are finally comin back! A few years ago, they were so over hunted up here that they all but disappeared. It's so exciting! I'm going to try to get pics of her if she comes back and i hope she does. LOL I am like a kid in the candy store.

Emily got weighed yesterday. Get this, she weighs 7 pounds 9 ounces and is 20.25 inches long! I couldn't believe it! I knew she was going through a growth spurt but WOW! II guess we are going to try her on cereal this week. I'm a little scared but one of her therapists ill be doing the actual feeding.

I witnessed the most beautiful thing I ever saw this morning. Mark woke Emily up this morning around 4:30. When I woke up he was laying next to her on the bed with her head in the crook of his arm and he as singing her that Billy Joel Lullaby and kissing her forehead! I almost cried it was sooo sweet but I pretended to be sleeping. (Mark works out of town alot and he got called out this am and won't be home till Friday) I wish I could have gotten a picture he looked like he was in Heaven.

Well I did it!! I went to the Dentist and get this... I need root canal!! YIKESSSSSSSS!!!! They wanted to do it tomorrow but my insurance will only pay half, and I need the money right now, sooo I told them they will have to wait for 2 weeks. They put a temp filling in, so hopefully it will last 2 weeks. I can't eat anything hard or eat on that side. Ohhh what a fun 2 weeks this is gonna be. LOL Thank God chocolate is SOFT!!! hahahaha Ok I done ramblin about my woes specially since other peeps have bigger ones, and would rather have root canal than face some of their stuff.
Onie glad the wedding was perfect, I was there in spirit!! Have tons of fun with the new inlaws!!!


Oh so sorry, been there done that. Don't wanna do it again. uh uh, no way no how.........No really, It is not that bad. Maybe a little worse than a filling. I had a couple, but one I had was hurting so bad and it turned out to be necrotic. (how ever you spell it). Since the pain was so bad prior to the root canal, it was a relief to have it done. So it might not be that bad for you.

Its quietened down somewhat here in town...did the heat get to everyone..I will be SO HAPPY when FALL arrives...this summer has been a bummer for me healthwise..some says typing makes me out of breath so Ive not been here much either..made a few pages here and there but gosh seems like ti took days to do one..manatee glad you make it back safely..guess Onie is in Chicago or running around the house in her birthday suit..grannys got her new site up and running and RDP is a great little program..Ive loved learning about it..and granny tuts are sooo easy to follow..havent felt like working with it lately but I'm going to soon..made a beautiful double silver frame a week or so ago...
I'm so happy have to share my good fortune with ya'll...I have been facing the same problem all us scrappers seem to be having..NO ROOM..I had 505 MBS left on my hd this am..I have been deleting and backing up and everything I could think of to get drive space..its been almost impossible to make a page or navigate SBM or anywhere on the net..I was sitting at the computer this morn...trying to figure out what else I Could part with or put on CD..and my cousin Stan comes in..he is Morgans dad and the closest to a brother I will ever have..with a 250 gig external HD..he knew how bad I wanted one and was in office max this morn and saw this one on sale for $69 so he bought it for me...isn't that awesome...oh man was I happy..if I had been able I would have done a thank you dance..instead he got a big hug, and a I love you..he got tickled at me..so he says now you can have all your scrapbook stuff on one drive and everyone can stay off of it..LOL..I tell you I am so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends who look out for me...and help me so much to have things I would never be able to get for myself..sooo Ive been moving stuff today and still have lots to go..but I can navigate again...lol I was so scared when I started moving my biggest sb file..I copied it at first to see if it worked..lol but I keep thinking what will I do if this thing goes out on me..so to be on the safe side tomorrow I am getting some DVDs and back everything up..I could never replace all my treasures..lol I have a lot done already but I'm getting everything this time...

Omgoodness Jazz, 505 MB left!!! Do you understand how much room that is!!! LOL I have exactly 3.13 MB left!!!! I went to defrag and this computer told me to get rid of things, cause it would not defrag correctly!!! So 505 is HUGE for me anyway!!! I have deleted tons of things, have many dvds filled with stuff. I just hate having to work off them, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. LOL

I am so sorry for not being that talkative lately...I have been dealing with some medical issues lately...Friday I go in for surgery, its an in out thing...(cervical cancer for the third time), just another to chalk up on the list...My legs have been VERY swollen, to the point I can barely walk...Went in for tests yesterday and found out I have Lymphedema...No cure, but I have to go in twice a week for therapy now...My mom burned her foot badly trying to make some noodles...Missed the sink to drain them and the water fell on her foot..She got second degree burns...Skin actually peeled away on the topside and a couple toes...So I have been trying to take care of her as well..In the meantime, I haven't told a single family member about me situation since they have enough to deal with already... So I have been taking this time to keep my feet up, and get some needlepoint designs done to make new kits...I have been trying to leave little comments around to let you know I'm still alive...and with everyone elses problems on here (more serious then mine) I really wasn't gonna say anything...But I guess we all need to vent once in awhile..<wink>

Don't often read this thread since there is always so much here. Glad I read this today. Will keep you in my prayers. I have Lymphedema in the right arm and it can be a real pain in the a##. I'm one of those goofy ones that gets infections a lot and noone can figure out why, so I'm on a daily regiment of antibiotics. Therapy is so much fun with the wrapping procedure and then having to wear the garments forever. Do go to group meetings once a quarter. Have heard with the legs, you have to take the time to keep them up on a regular basis. Have a site name to order the garments which are then cheaper than where the therapists send you to. PM me and I will send you that info. Good luck with the surgery.
Regardless of what others have to deal with, use the family support system just as they depend on you. And don't ever forget, we are all here too.

I was telling her my woes and after I finished I asked her how she got into counseling. After she told me what she had gone through I was in tears [her life up to a certain point had been terrible, including slavery]. I said that my problems hardly seem worth worrying about and this is what she told me. My dear, problems are like being under water. It doesn't matter if you are 6 feet or 6 inches under. You can still drown. All need that helping hand to pull them up so they can breath.

So it doesn't matter if you think your troubles are trivial, you still need to talk about them or soon they may seem worse. Come and talk to us about anything .. you will be hugged n loved.

Well the big day is finally here, Heathers Grad Party, OMG I am totally physically and mentally DRAINED!!! Well, the party turned out wonderful!! I must say I worried all so much for nothing, but I guess thats all part of having a party, worring if there would be enough food, drinks, etc... all went well, and I even have leftovers! LOL The only thing that went wrong was our grill decided to die for this occasion, luckily we have a wonderful friend who let us use his, other than that it was wonderful!!! Heather made out like a bandit and all she wants to do is go to the mall, but like a good mother I tell her NO!!!!! LOL My sister did show up, WOW she hasnt changed a bit! It was sooo great to see her and meet her children and GRANDKIDS... LOL she has 4 (grandchildren)with one on the way and she is the same age as me!! LOL better her than me, but she is soo much like my other sister, who pops out babies left and right! hahahaha I didnt tell my other sisters that she was coming, so they were really surprised!! I didnt get many pictures, just a few of us sisters together, It was a hot day here and I just didnt feel like taken pictures! lol Did more gabbering than anything. Well thats about it, today is a day of relaxation, staying in my jammies all day!!! Yeahhhhh!!!

Jazz, I am feeling much better, thank you....About your signature..Try putting the cursor right after the pic or url and hit backspace...It worked for cleaning mine out...lol...As far as your computer goes, it sounds to me like your comp caught a nasty cold..I would run a spyware program or a virus check...My fiance' is a computer IT Tech man...and I found out just because you have a virus program, it doesn't mean you won't pick up spyware (hackers)...Spybot is a great one to use, but there is many out there that are free...Just do a google search for free spyware protection...Even yahoo does a norton check for free....Can't hurt none and you will be surprised as what it picks up...<wink> Hope this helps...:D

I really miss Terry. Was out to his place and cut the grass and trimmed the bushes today. Someone has been out there because I noticed the apes had fresh food and water. They are starting to get crazy again tho, because no one is there training them and they are going stir crazy. I saw them hanging from the curtains and doing some crazy things. I sure wish Terry would get back here and help the apes again--they really liked him and they miss him too!! Garden is growing amuck too-tried weeding most of it but it will take more than one trip to finish that. Well gotta go clean my office-have all that beautiful new furnishings and I have been neglecting the place with going to DDA meetings, and downloading, and trying to take care of Terry's place. Went past the B&B and threw out the moldy food too!!! I* hope someone is doing some baking--gotta get this place in shape for wiz's wedding party!!

I dont know what those meetings are going to help..seems like everyone is downloading more hehehe...since my cousin got me my new HD..strange thing happened...Im being more selective with dowloading..I dont go out searching like I used to do...guess I got used to not being able to get new stuff..but heck..all I have is new because I never use any of it..lol..
I miss Terry too...I went out and fed the apes and stayed with them awhile..they were good while I was there..they just wanted some company.. but if Terry cant make it back..we need to find a new trainer for them..and someone to keep up the garden..Mayor Doll..I think you need to get the public works people busy on sweeeping the streets and the fountain has trash in it...flowers are sorta wilting too...no dead flowers for the park...we have to get plans made for wiz's party..we want to make the decorations really special..anyone have any ideas?

I find that I can no longer resist the swell of comments that have so kindly been forwarded to me from ‘Eye’ by means of an e-mail that I received this evening. I have come onto SBM to find a thread has been started and contributed to by those who appear to miss my rambling although for the life of me I can find little foundation and even less value as to why it would be so. My contributions lasted only a few months and as for my ability in the area of horticulture I must admit that I lacked even the basic abilities that such a field of endeavour requires, if in fact the purpose of such an endeavour is related in any manner to success in the world of commerce although, I can admit that I was saved the embarrassment of certain commercial failure by the good nature and polite sufferance of the folk who reside in Scrapsville, a small and friendly town the like of which I have never experienced before.

I believe it could in fact be said that I would have been classed a total failure if it were not for my good fortune in the interest of raising and retraining apes; the direct result of having stumbled, quite by accident, upon an old book that I discovered in the washhouse of the farm on which I chose to reside during my time in Scrapsville; an interest that I must add, became quite a passion in time and one that even today brings me some semblance of pleasure albeit, to a far less extend than it did during that precious time on the farm.

I find much to my displeasure, quite a distinct lack of apes that are able to undergo the rigours of retraining in order to successfully graduate as ‘Seeing-Eye’ apes and as a result, I have curtailed my efforts considerably in that field preferring, for the time being at least to undergo some retraining of my own. In specific terms, I have become interested in the field of sleepwalking and, I might add, more than a sedentary interest at that. It has become clear to me in no uncertain terms that there exists today, in far greater magnitude than one would expect or even consider, quite a distinct waning towards sleepwalking that, it appears from the information I have been able to review for the purpose of becoming knowledgeable on the subject, a result of social discouragement towards the past-time overall.

It has not escaped my attention that Scrapsville would be an ideal setting for the further study of my new interest and that within the township itself I am proposing that I could locate several specimens that may, in the early stages of my research at least, be suitable for the purposes required. It remains to be seen however; whether any of the subjects in question would prevail themselves of the liberties that would be necessary for such research to be, at the very least conducted and, furthermore relevant to the overall outcome of my studies.

I am, for now at least, unsure quite what I shall do in the long term preferring for the time being to remain uncommitted and therefore, relieve myself of any feelings of guilt in the event that I am unable to proceed in any viable manner in the future. It would be best I believe, to make the people of Scrapsville well aware of my uncertainty in an effort to assuage any grief that could otherwise be felt if I were to make a promise that I was unable to maintain with any sense of regularity or, that may appear to have been given with a lack of any real sincerity.

Well, I hope that keeps everyone happy for a while!!!

On a serious note – I am doing OK but suffering very high levels of fatigue. I find that I don’t need to do very much and I am worn out. I cleaned my bedroom yesterday, basically dusted the furniture, tidied up and vacuumed and that was it for me – I then went and slept from 6:30 pm through to 10:00am this morning and have had a fairly lazy day to boot. The pain levels are fairly high but I am getting relief each day by maxing out on morphine – I’m up to 225mls a day – of course, this level of morph doesn’t help when it comes to energy. I am trying to do something every day so that I don’t end up a total zombie – yeh, I know!

I won’t promise anything but I will come on from time to time and at least say Hi!

To all my friends on this site, thank you for your kind words, thoughts and prayers – I still think of you guys and appreciate every good thought you have for me.

And just to show you how greatful we are to have your precious company, I'm directing Jazz, our real state agent, to give you an open end lease on the 30 acres of woodland and meadows in the back 40s. Is easy to get to and it's adjacent to your farm, so you should have no problem at all utilizing the area.

Be sure to keep us posted and if you need an assistant, we have Jenna's Mommy available. She does not know it yet, but she needs a role in Scrapsville.
