OMG I am laughing sooooo hard I almost peed my pants! hahahahahahaha Great stories!!!! I guess we all had a little devil in ourselves when we were ohhhh sooo small.
I remember the time me and my 2 sisters came up with the fantastic idea on how to get rich quick...we were 7/8yrs old, we would be the first people on earth to rip the bark of a tree, many hours riping the bark off, and proudly we run into tell our parents, OMG where we in trouble!!! How we got yelled at about the tree dying and who in there right mind would ever even think of that! LOL well we did!!! Sorry to say we only got spanking and grounded for a week, never got rich either!! I would go out to the tree everyday and talk to it just so it wouldnt die, and guess what that tree NEVER did die!!!! LOL
and Marion I loved your story about the powered milk too! That reminds of the time my Mother was sleeping, we got the box raisin brand ate all the raisins and threw the flakes down the stairs lol I have no idea WHY we did that, but we did, then took my moms Monopoly game into my crib and spilled all the money all over the place. Yep we were hellions Now I know why my Mom always said, I cant wait to you have kids of your own, as I would laugh and say I am never having kids!!! Now I say that to my darling daughters! I have found what comes around goes around, they will be sorry!!!!! LOL:) :)

Uh, Crops...I have saved mine for adulthood. That way I could embarrass my kids and give them back a piece of the insanity.

These are sooo funny! I have one when I was about 5/6 years old. My brother (1yr older) was trying to find something in his closet and my mom was still asleep and we didn't want to wake her up. So we found a candle and brother lit it and told me hold it up so he could look on the floor of his closet to find whatever it was he was looking (don't remember anymore) anyways he couldn't see and he kept telling me to raise the candle higher-well you guessed it! We caught his clothes on fire and we tried putting water on it and decided we better wake up mom. She had to call the fire department and she wrapped us up in blankets and carried us to the neighbors (it was winter) Boy did we get in trouble-the firemen came over to the neighbors and really lectured us on the dangers of fire--my dad even had to come home from work that day!! Thank God the only damage was to the closet-but my brother got all new clothes!!

ok granny got it covered but dang sounds like we all were hellions..lol
thanks for all the laughs..soo funny...I just thought of one thats a good one on Lori...she was 3 and my pickenise had some some peekapos..the pickenise had stayed with my dad when i moved so I wanted to get one of the puppies for Lori...I picked the biggest and most active of the litter..I got a huge toilet paper box and put her in it...the puppy and lori had so much fun playing that night I was so proud of how good she was with it..in the middle of the night a noise woke me up and I noticed the kitchen light was on..my dresser drawer was open..I immediately knew Lori was up to something..I got up she was standing in the middle of the kitchen floor..and the puppy was not in the box..i kept asking her where the puppy was and she wouldnt answer me..I thought this was going to be a long night, I opened the fridge to get a drink of water and lo and behold there was the puppy, shivering its little self to death..and convered with make up..then cold cream to try and get the makeup off and then a little water to try and wash it all off...I dont remember just what all I said but I do know kill the dog was in there somewhere..Lori started crying ran and jumped in her bed with the covers over her head and went back to sleep..she'de had a hard night...so at 4 in the morn I was giving the baby a bath trying to warm her up with the hair dryer..wrapped her up in a blanket and put her in the bed with me..next morn I carried it back and they sold it eventually but that poor puppy was so traamatized it took it days to even walk around ...I decided after then no pets for awhile..I did get her one of those baby turtles and it got lose in the house..I looked everwhere for that turtle..never found it..I thought it went off somewhere and died...a few months later I pulled the dresser out and lo and behold there it was..still alive..dont know how it lived that long..

HEY NOW! I am not the one digging to the Devil!!! I think we just found our vampire!!! lol. Anyway Granny, it is about your turn to spill the beans! Someone with your humor must have had a colorful childhood!!! Give us the dirt or we will come in and confiscate that mattress of yours! :)

Another time I remember my mom let me and my cousins have some scissors for cutting paper. I decided to play barber. I butchered about 3 of my cousins heads before my sister went up stairs with one pony tail 2 inches short and I got busted!

I was reading these posts about your kids and I really died laughing...... Reminds me of a few stories too.

My ex and I were driving across country with our 2 kids. Donnie was 3 1/2 and Jennifer was 2. I got constipated so I bought some X-Lax. I had it in the glove box of our van. We were about 100 miles from my Ex husbands parents, when we stopped to get gas and stretch. The 2 kids were asleep. When we got back in the van, both kids were awake and there was foil from the X-Lax on the floor. My son told me that he didn't eat it but his sister did. She kept saying "no that bubba did" Needless to say, by morning we found out...... Jennifer ate it. My mother in law kept chasing her with a wash cloth cause she kept squirting out her diaper. Oh it was real bad for about 3 days. I gave her Gator Aid and kept trying to keep her hydrated.

Onieeeeeeeeeeee what the heck have you been?????? I havent seen you in here for almost a week!!!! BTW funny story!!!! I have to say I am guilty of that myself, my Mom had this dieting candies, I believe they were called AIDS a chocolate candy that back in those times was suppose to make ya loss weight and go to the potty very often. hehehe
Mom was sleeping and My sister and I climbed the fridge and got the box, ate the WHOLE thing, we werent that smart to get rid of the wrapper so they were all over the floor, Mom woke up, and almost had a heart attack, we were sick for 2 days, not a pretty site. Poor Mom, the only thing I can think of now is that Mom took toooo many naps and we got into LOADS of trouble.

Well, ok, I can't really think of anything bad I did, I was such an angel...

However, I will tell you that one of the most terrible times in my life was right after I came to the States. It was not funny at the time, but just now, thinking about it, I can see why it would be funny...

I was enrolled in a school right after I arrived here, and I could not speak a word on English, so of course, they put me in a class with a bunch of kids from all over the world. Most of them Spanish, so I thought, oh, well, I should have a lot of friends here pretty quick, being that we all speak the same language and all.

Well, those were the kids from hell, so help me. Bunch of low lives did nothing but get me in trouble. One day the teacher left the class for a bit, and as soon as she was out the door, these rotten kids starting misbehaving as usual. Well, when the teacher got back, they blamed me for every thing, since I could not speak English and could not defend myself. Well, that crazy woman went ballistic and started yelling at me. I could not understand a word she said, but it must have been bad, cause her face contorted into every thing from Dracula to Frankestein!

And here I was, trying to splain (oh, ok, explain, I speak it now), and I keep saying "I know", and being so proud of myself that I could tell her that "I did not do it". Well, little did I know I was confesing to every crime in town. The more she accused me, the more I keep saying "I know, I know". I just could not understand why she was having convulsions!

I think I must have confesed that day to every thing from the stolen fruit in the garden of Eden, to the latest terrorist act in Europe. And all those rotten kids were hysterical. I wrote a long list of would be victims that day. I swore I was going to become a hit person and put every one of them out of their miserable lives.

Moral of the story... Don't ever say you did not do something in a foreign language, unless you have a layer present. And don't trust your peers.

Has you may be aware. El Paso is a border town of Old Mexico and New Mexico. 70% Hispanic. I do not speak Spanish and have gotten myself into trouble trying. Several years back.... I attempted to tell 2 boys, in Spanish, to return to class and not run. A few seconds later, those 2 boys fell to the ground and started rolling and laughing on the ground. My co-worker's face turned red as she busted up laughing too. Apparently I called those boys a "BUTT" and told them what they could do with their butts. :o

Hey Crops,

I have really been busy at work. Our school year ends on May 25th and I have been so busy getting my 8th graders ready for High School. I am going through all of their Health Charts and thining them out, and getting there screenings completed. I have over 300 8th graders. Then I will be off about a week then I will work summer school for 4 weeks.

I've come home just exhausted.

I have to tell you, those Kids that Granny mentioned in her story..... I think we have their kids in my school. These kids at our school get into SO MUCH trouble. Except they do it IN FRONT of the teachers. The mild side, One little girl blew a straw wrapper straight in the face of her teacher! We have 8 known gangs in the school and they brag about going to court. I could write a book on these kids and their activities.

heres a story on my youngest Angie..she was always such a sweet pleasant child..one of the first words she said was sock..she loved socks and still does..when she was little you could buy her a pair of socks and you would have thought she had the most wonderful toy in the world..but you never had to disipline her much and just talking would do the trick..so one day when she was about 7 or 8 we were in the car and i was talking to her about her attitude..she was agreeing with me..(kinda like you did your teacher Granny) I finished my talk and we rode on a bit and all at once she said "whats an attitude mommy"..

Hey, just went by Terry's farm. Good suggestion, Nanwu. I cleaned the bathroom.... (why can't men aim, anyhow?), and put fresh toilet paper on the thingy maggigy. Hope the apes don't get ahold of it and tp the whole place. They have been know to do that with duck tape.

I noticed his laundry needs doing, but I ran out of time. Sat down to use the throne, and got engrossed in a magazine he keeps right by it. Something about Ape Training for Dummies! Great reading. I could actually make sense of it. Hmmmm.

Well, hope someone else drops by. Don't want poor Terry to keep away just cause he is affraid to come home to a mess!

Yeah Croppy you are falling down on your job..bet you forgot all about it didnt ya..LOL

I for one had a wonderful time at the clean up party and the after clean up party at the waterin hole..Terrys little place in sparkling like a diamond out there...working was actually fun with everyone there cutting up and having fun...Knzus even did a great job with the garden..the food was great...Im still stuffed and have so many new recipes to try out..that chocolate mush was devine Sue..a chocolate loves dream come true...I think I saw Crops going in the closet with the whole dish...she has a thing about eating in closets..
and did you notice Granny left her mattress at home..she is really getting better about that..but she still has those big apes guarding it when she leaves..I dont know why..no one in their right mind would get close to the stinky thing...sorry Granny but thats just the way it is..your smelling must be off from smelling that thing for so long..
Im outta here..its kinda chilly here this morn so I am going back to bed and snuggle under me covers and take a nap..love to all

Hey a big thanks to everyone for pitching in at Terry's it's the best looking place in scrapsville, Terry won't know what hit him when he gets back, he'll think he came to the wrong farm

I'm so stuffed from all that food, (bang out the window with the diet) oh well........there's always tomorrow

I'm off to bed, so see ya all around

The old farm is really charming! Terry will be so pleased to see it. He's in for a real surprize when he sees all the goodies we put on his walls. I think EYE's papers make a beautiful wallpaper. I expecially love those RED HOT papers we put in his bedroom! And the bubbles in the bathrooms.... wow! Way to go EYE!!!

As for the chocolate goodies, I also saw Knzus in the closet with a plate full. That girl just keeps eating. Oh the food was so good. Granny, thank you for the yummy food. She is really feeling better and back to her old self with all that cooking. I think Granny is planning a book signing for her cook book. She showed me the cook book and it is terrific. I told her that we would do a book signing at the B&B!

I was a little concerned when the big bomb fire was set out in the field. It really got crazy when the weeds from the garlic patch were thrown in.......... wow the smell of garlic was all over town.

I've received a bunch of RSVP's for the IDOL final party. Remember this is going to be an incrediable time. We have 2 days of activities planned. We are having a TALENT SHOW between the 2 IDOL shows on Tuesday and Wednesday. Steve will be there singing too. JAZZ said she is going to do a tapp dance, and Granny claims to do ballet. Now, my dear assistance has the sign up sheet so please sign up!

Oh this is going to be fun!

Good grief!!! Did you see Crops go in that closet? She did not take a plate full of goodies in there. That is a right down vicious lie!!!!!! What she took in there was a wheel barrel!!! Blasted woman took every thing and I never got any of the whatchamacallits. Where's Sheriff Poppabob or Deputy Bobby when you need them.

And Knzus... Ha!! There's another culprit.

Jazz, you worked way too hard at the cleaning. You deserve a break and cuddling under the blankets.

All in all folks, you did a terrific job. Thanks all for the help.

Oh, yeah, I heard from Terry, he is coming back soon. He even asked for a certificate of citizenship. He really wants to be official. Hurray for the good old boy!!!

Letters to the Editor,
Scrapsville Morning Post
Central Avenue
Scrapsville,
Planet Earth 987654321.

Dear Editor,
Although a resident of Scrapsville for only a short time, I have come to consider the place my home now. I have settled down just outside of town on a little farm and besides growing vegatables and herbs I also retrain apes to become 'Seeing Eye Apes' (I am now Nationally Accredited and Internationally Certifiable).

Recently I found it necessary to temporarily leave town due to personal reasons and have been away for quite a few weeks attending to these issues. I have now had reports from a neighbour (via e-mail) that there has recently been a great deal of activity at my farm, activity that has been described to me as - 'anti-social' in nature.

More specifically, my neighbour has mentioned - bonfire's, loud music, partying, some of my crops being ripped up and destroyed and even looting. In addition, I have been informed that my apes have been harrassed and that each ape has had a pair of bright pink, dark sunglasses placed over their eyes (apparently held on by rubber bands of all things - apes are allergic to rubber which is why you never see them wearing wetsuits).

To say that I am shocked is an understatement and I felt that I should write to you regarding this blatent vandalism and, to warn other residents of this wonderful town to be vigilant and to guard against this type of behaviour which in my mind is nothing short of pure tomfoolery!

I will be returning home within the next few days and can only hope that any damage done is repairable.

Yours truly,
DISAPPOINTED.

JAZZ has volunteered to organize our talented residence in the talent show. The winner will be performing live in the town square on the 4th of July!!!! :D

TerryW sure was misinformed by that pesty old neighbor of his! That old goat has room to talk!!! They call that old goat the "The Beast" for a good reason. Every critter in the town stay away from THE BEAST's because she has been known to set traps! I can not believe that no one warned Terry about her!!!!

Dont worry about it Onie..when he gets home and sees his sparkling clean house and his lovely garden and his garlic crop doing so good..he will have to write a retraction and thank us all hehehehe..and he will find out about his Beast of a neighbor for sure...I m just wondering if that old beast is acutally Granny's cousin that came to town to try and get all of Grannys money while she was sick and in that sorta trance..and doesnt that strange delivery guy live out there..I wonder if they are together in that old place..looks like somehtig out of a horrow movie from the street..hey maybe hes the vampire!!!
Ok Onie how come you keep volunteering me for all these jobs...since I am in charge of the talent show I am appointing you to audition all the talent acts I send to you..you can determine who will be in the show and send me a letter telling me who they are..you know manny burping her abc's has got to be the number one act..she might even make it to Hollywood...I also heard that nan is a contortionist and knzus a mime..and we know granny dances on tables and steve has a new act..heard he now sings while he dances on the pole..and I do NOT tap dance..I have no talent..
Onie..I heard you had hired a fancy caterer for the Final Idol Blast..thats very nice of you..poor nan can join in the fun and festivities since she wont have to be in charge of all the food...

Soooooooooooooo...when is the talent show? Do we have to audition? Hmmmm, can't think what I would do....a-hah! I could do some magic and bring all the dead plants to life form the plant shop. No, no...something else.....

Opened my newspaper this morning and saw the letter to the editor from Terry. Hehe, wait until he finds out how nice his farm is now. I'll bet it was "the beast" that emailed him, trying to start trouble.

By the way...Jazz, I think my alarm system at the plant shop needs to be checked. Went in this morning and looks like someone broke in over the weekend and watered all the plants....found footprints all over the place, and the initials "T. B." were written on my checkout counter in mud!

But it looked easy when they were demonstrating it in Branson-but it's fun to try and learn, when I have time that is~ with working fulltime and being on here more than I should be, doesn't leave much time to learn a new instrument. No Nanwu, the cooking is your baby...... I promise!

Then JAZZ, did you see what she did? She volunteered to supervise the Talent Show then she had the nerve to put me in charge of the talent auditions....... NO JAZZ, no deligating back to me! I have a sign up sheet for all the entries to sign up on. No one will be turned away!

Dear Onie,
Thought I would drop you a quick line, I'll be home again in a day or two but my neighbour sent me a copy of the Scrapsville Morning Post and I read in the 'Social Events' column that you are involved in some way arranging a 'Talent Quest'.

There was no closing date mentioned for entries and rather than miss out I thought I would drop you this quick note to see if I can get my name on the list?

From the information in the paper it sounds as though the townsfolk are going all out on this one - I'd hate to miss out.

If I'm not too late please add my name to the contestants list and I will catch up with you for more details when I get back.

See you soon and best regards,

Terry

P.S. Say hi to Nan for me, she does some awesome things with my garlic and other herbs - you're lucky to have her in the kitchen as I'm sure you know.

THE BEAST has been identified as Granny's wicked cousin, She is really out to make everyone look bad. OK, time for us to get even with that BEAST!!!! Any ideas???? I was thinking about letting the monkeys and the apes lose in her trees and around the house. I was checking things out and discovered that the BEAST has a window in the back that is partically open. Raining raining raining here, although it's finally tapering off. My kids tell me their street is flooded...so many roads impassable right now...wow, even the highway between here and there. Flood statements out for area rivers and streams. Gee, all I wanted was a little moisture on my garden!

Oh, some good news -- hubby is back to work (same job he was laid off from few months ago). (THANK YOU, Lord!)

A Bad Dream????? You really think so ???? Wow that must of been a nightmare! I know we had the foil hats because of the aliens and I thought they came back....

Now about the parties, yes we will have more parties. In fact, we have our Talent Show coming up. I believe we have about 12 entries so far. The show is coming up next week! Now Jazz, do you have all the names and their talent? They were signing up on the sign up sheet at the B&B

Did you all see Steve out in the Town Square? My goodness he wrote a song and was singing to "JORDIN" when she got home from the Idol Show? I heard he wants to be her back up singer this year!!! Good Luck Steve!!!!

Knzuz, glad to hear your hubby is back to work. Good news around here for a change.

Just wanted to post this link. I put some paper and frames in the forum, but some one went through all the old stuff and put comments, so this ended up on the next page. Hope some one can use them.

As you all know, I am a school nurse at a middle school. I just came back from lunch and while I was in the cafeteria, those 7th graders decided to have a food fight! I have never seen such a thing as that! I had to run for cover, along with several teachers. Boy was the principle mad! Food was everywhere. Spagetti, watermelon, corn, etc etc etc. There were about 300 kids in the cafeteria and about half of them were throwing food.

I remember food fights too but I tried to get out of the way and not get involved...I knew everyone would get into trouble and my parents always told me if I got in trouble at school I was going to get it double at home...and I found out fast double was NOT good..I remember I was in the 2nd grade and I asked to go to the bathroom..well I got thru and decided I would swing awhile on the door..I was swinging away and the teacher came in to find me..(Must have been playing awhile LOL) she grabbed me by the arm and half drug me back to glass. then she got a ruler and made me put out my hand and she wacked me about 10 times with that ruler..ohhh it hurt so bad and embarassed me to death...after then I tried never to get in trouble at school..I think my dad wacked me about 10 times too but not on the hand!!!

I heard that at another middle school here, 3 girls assulted their teacher the other day. Apparently they held her down and shoved paper down her throat! The middle school age is by far the worst! This age is so dangerous! Also, this week, our school police got a call from a neighbor, across the street from the school. They saw students putting something in a hole on the corner of school property. The police went and searched the area, they found a large knife and 2 switch blades, wrapped up in a hankie. Rumor had it that there was going to be a big gang fight that day!.

So sorry I have been missing out on everything around here, I have been busy. I have been working in the yard and setting up a garage sale. Today is my last day to set up, it starts tomorrow. Boy do I feel like I was run over with a steam roller! Hauling things from my moms to the basement (Ron was cleaning up the garage so couldn't put it there), took some things from the garage and put those in the basement to get them out of the way, then had to haul all of mom's and my stuff out to the garage from the basement when he was done, also all the tables for setting things on. (some wood tables not just card tables). Oh yeh, I snatched the table that mom's computer was sitting on...I had to fix a make shift place for her computer. he he he

Any way, that is why I haven't been on much. My sister is also coming in tomorrow from Minnesota and will be here a week. The following weekend after she leaves, Ron and I will be leaving on vacation for two weeks. We are going to Maryland for a 350th anniversay re-union. My 9th Great Grand Father arrived here from Holland 350 years ago. He initially arrived in Long Island NY. His boat shipwrecked off Fire Island, It was the first recorded shipwreck in the US. Then he went to Delaware and settled in Maryland at St. Mary's City which was the first Capitol of Maryland. The city has been re-constructed and they made a museum of the area including his property. They were going to have the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of the museum the same day, but they are not quite done with it, so they postponed that until October. Anyway I am excited to be going there.

So don't worry about me, if you don't see me on here for a while, and forgive me if I have missed commenting on any layouts.

Hey Marion, Sac...are they makin' fun of our Dutch ancestors? LOL!

Just some info on the wooden shoe: has been around since the late Dark Ages; was worn by many people all over Europe, especially in Holland because of the swampy ground (thus, the windmills of Holland, which is another story); most wooden shoes were (and are) made from willows and poplar; estimated that less than 5,000 people still wear the traditional wooden shoes in Holland, and they are mostly farmers, factory and mine workers. The shoes are called "klompen" - which means "clogs." Nowadays the wooden shoes are mainly a tourist thing. If you wear those plastic clogs that can be bought at Walmart or other stores, that's just one of the ideas in footwear that descended from the Dutch wooden shoe.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program....

I hope not Knsus! :D Boy, I would love to visit Holland some day. I would be great to see where my family originated from.

I have a book called Immigrants to the Middle Collonies. It has a ship manesfest that My ancestor wrote himself in 1661. (His handwriting). He had gone back to Holland and this was his return trip to the US. He was "Supercargo" on the ship, which I guess means he was in charge of the cargo. The manefest is written in Dutch but it is also translated in English. He listed his group as 4 (4 passengers) Sr. Gerrit van Schweringe, Schout, with his wife, man-servant and maid.

I guess the "Schout" means Sheriff.

The name was actually Gerrit Van Sweringen but I think the manefest had the Dutch spelling.

I thought it was pretty cool to find something with his writing.

Wow Jazz! That's impressive. This ancestry stuff is so intrueging(sp?), but I wouldn't know where to start. Both my parents are gone so I don't know who else could help me get a good start. My sister has been trying to do the ancestor look, but she hasn't gotten much cooperation with relatives that are still around. My father's parents came over from Poland, he is all polish. My mother was german and Irish. We would have better luck tracing my fathers side I think, than we would my mothers side.

Wow..... I havent been around here for a while. Been to busy designing. (I have gotten addicted to it!) What great stories about ansestory and geneology. Thought I would share a short version of my geneology story. I've been thinking about writing it up and sending it to the groove with my lo's but havent gotten to it yet!

When I was about 3 my parents divorced. I grew up with my mom, younger sister, and grandparents. My dad was financialy irrisponsible and couldnt pay child support or medical bills (my sister was 2 months premie and on oxygen for 3 years) He dissapeard and we never knew where he was or much about him. Mom told us all she knew but she has never met ANYONE from his family (very broken home). As my sis and I grew we wanted to do geneology for my fathers side of the family. All we had was his name ss# and Grandparents names. His name is John Unferdorfer but he always liked to go by his mothers maiden name John Smith. Needless to say many efforts over many years have gotten us nowhere. Last year my sister was surfing the net and found a phone num. that connected our fathers name with hers. It was an older number from our home town we knew wasnt accurate but next on the list were numbers for a John Unferdorfer and a Rhea Unferdorfer. It took a few months to get enough courage to call a complete stanger and ask if they knew anything about our heritage but one day a stray phone call that connected me with my father led my sister to call the number for Rhea Unferdorfer. The woman who answered broke into tears when she realized that is was my sister calling. My father and she had been married for 20 years and had just gotten a divorce a year ago. They have 5 children. She has always known about us and John has always thought about us but was to afraid of interfering with our lives and the financial reprecutions it might have on his current family to make contact with us. Rhea has done much of the geneology and we have been able to meet all of them even my father after 27 years. It has been an amazing experience and would have never happened if marie and I hadnt wanted to do our Geneology.

Ok I am done :) that is my geneology story!
Here are some lo's I have done and put in the galery a while ago. One of my brothers is serving an LDS mission so he isnt in the pictures (technicaly I havent met him yet but have gotten to talk to him) (just for anyone who pays enough attention to only count 4 siblings when I said there were 5 :))

Our very own Knzus is very knowledgeable in the field of genology. I was directed to an awsome program Anciestry for documenting your genology. Allows you to upload those pics too.

Legacy Family Tree (http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/Index.asp?mid=67E9PJi) software...free to download the standard edition (I have the deluxe edition, but used the standard for a long time and it's fine by itself until you can save to buy the deluxe). There are sooooooooooooo many things you can do with this program for your genealogy that it's not possible to name them all here.

(Marion...I don't have but a small piece of my genealogy online, but you can see it the same place as where you go get the freebies I make - http://bullercarmichael.com...but I have my ancestors who came from Holland/Netherlands documented back to the early 1300s...and a couple a bit before....Send me some names sometime and I'll see if there's a connection...I have a HUGE database of names.) :D

p.s. Jazz

Thank you, it has been a pretty crazy year for me with all this going on. I do like to think I have a forgiving heart but don't think there hasn't been some pain and resentment too. It was a TOTAL SHOCK to my system to find out he still cared and thought about us, even more than the shock of 5 half siblings. My ex-step mother has been instrumental in bringing everyone together, she is an amazing woman! I call her my step mother but I wont call John dad yet. :) lol. I have just had to try and realize that he did what he honestly felt was best for my sister and I by dissapearing from our lives. It helped when he said that not a day has gone by that he hasnt thought about us. Anyway..... thanks for liking my story :)

Wolvsie... I'm honor and flattered that you would think that was my picture. I'm affraid I'm not fortunate enough to look that good. I was just using Marion as a model, because she is Dutch. Oh, and it's funny, but I had already put the shoes in when I read your suggestion. It was a great idea.

Hope you don't mind, Marion. You made the page shine!

Thank you all for the kind words. Hope the rest of the kit will please you as well.

I think we do need a SA group, but like Marion said, we're way beyong hope here.

Granny, look to your left shoulder, see that fly sitting there, thats me being a pest....lol...Ok, not really, but I bet I made you look...lol....Let me get this straight, we were talking about wooden shoes, and that gave you the inspiration to make an album about Holland? If I am wrong again, and in the same day, you can come here and kick my big butt yourself...lol... All I know is Marion and I were talking about the shoes, and then some others talked about their heritage and out of the blue you talked about an album...lol...So I was lost...hehe...
I have an idea, I think you should make some layouts with you in them holding that favorite drink of yours that sounds like the word mosquito...I dont know the spelling off hand... Today's Outlook for
Thursday June 07, 2007
Yesterday | TODAY | Tomorrow

The Moon is in the watery world of emotional Pisces today. In ancient astrology, Jupiter was Pisces' key planet, and we have been on a lovely ride from this buoyant planet's recent activity. We still feel good, but the high energy begins to subside now. We can pay additional attention to our dreams as the demands of the real world ease. Nevertheless, we shouldn't let down our defenses, for there is another action-packed wave just around the corner.

Marion-your hubby was up here in our next of the woods. I was hoping he didn't get too wet. Lots of people turned out for the races last weekend. Yesterday we hardly got any rain and no super high winds. It was windy, but everyone to the North of us and the south of us got it a lot worse than we did.

Wow, I just saw knzus fly by with some apes and grannys mattress. She must really be on the ride of her life. Did you see that poor guy that went on the ride of his life in Michigan?? He was in a wheelchair and an 18 wheeler didn't see him crossing the street, the light turned green and the truck started to go and latched onto the wheelchair and traveled about 4 miles down the road at 50 miles an hour. Thank God the man in wheelchair wasn't injured.

oooh, definately dumb! Brings back bad memories from my childhood. A bunch of us kids were playing ball in the street. The ball rolled into the sewer. We all gathered around to look and two of the kids pulled the sewer grate up and held it, while another kid went down to get the ball. (YUK) As soon as he hopped out, the two kids holding the grate (on end) just dropped it, instead of setting it back. Guess where it landed...right on my big toe. oooouuuch!! I had to go to the "Duckter" and get a tetnus shot plus I lost my toe nail. It was all black, blue and swollen. It was oozing too. (sorry, don't mean to be so graphic). Had to sit in school with my foot propped up and no shoe. I guess I was lucky it wasn't a lot worse. Actually, looking back. The kid that hopped in the sewer was the real lucky one! Those kids probably don't even remember the incident.

Kids will be kids! But I have to admit, your story was not funny but it sure reminds me of how kids get into mischief. Sure glad your toe got better and didn't get cut off!

OMG what a story! Steven King is in my head now! I loved the Book IT, the movie was ok, but the book was better!!!....scary stuff......

Love Stephen King's books. I have a picture of his house, we got it on one of our trips to Maine. (For one of the girls I worked with, she was a fanatic about Stephen King) It has things like spider webs and bats and things on the wrought iron fence. I don't remember exactly everything on it but it was cool.

Sue you are lucky you didn't lose your toe. Reminds me of a childhood thing too. The city was going to be putting some new concrete like pipes underground and we were playing around them and I crawled inside of one and laying on my back I brought my knees up-and guess what??!! I got stuck and couldn't get out-they had to call the firemen to rescue me. Boy that was dumb, and I felt dumb too!! Can laugh about it now.

Since we are on the subject of kids incidents...lol...I was about 8 and I stuck my head in a railing on the outside porch...My mom greased my head up with butter to try and get my head unstuck, and when that failed, she had to call the firemen to help...they had to cut the railings...

Ok, hadn't heard about the cell phone one! HELLO!?! Who would go into a sewer after their phone!? That is what I call a 'stupid human trick' (like stupid dog tricks..... only usually more stupid) I do feel bad for the family. That would be a horrible way to die!

I think kids must have guardian angels with them all the time. My cousin was trying to see how long she could wait and then run under the electric garage door before it closed (this was back when they were new and didn't have the fancy pants sensors) She waited to long then ran under but it got her head. The whole door was pressing down on her neck and she was stuck suffocatingly. Greatfully my older cousin had place of mind to open the door quickly and get her out of it. Scary stuff. I still remember how blue her face got.
