Oh Eng thanks for asking, I was running a high fever yesterday, I think I was delirious for a while, the fever finallly broke and I am feeling much better today,so I am just going to take it easy today, I really think something is happening to my eyes though, I had a cold in them for a 3 weeks and somedays everything is ok, but others all the words run together... I guess I better get me butt to see the eye doctor soon, But I do hate Doctors!!!

:D I love the idea, Days of our Scrap Granny, and I also love your song, what a talent, not only you're good at scrapping, but also at composing songs. I'm actually getting addicted to this, I was almost sleepless the first 2 weeks after I bought my software, and gets lots of headahes. It's been a month but I'm still learning and discovering some ways on how to do it and it's different uses. Thanks to the humors you put on this!

thats the little culprit that slept in my bathtub the night of the B&B blast..hes a sweetie though..he loves popcorn and stawberries...I think hes the one that was outside the hardware in the tree with the rose bud!!!

Don't know if they changed it or not, but the last I knew you couldn't take anything liquid on the plane. Maybe they changed that now. There should be some sort of list on line somewhere Crops. But you have a great time when you go. As far as packing, I always take too much, because I never know what I am going to want to wear. But I usually take more tops that can go with any the fewer pants or shorts that I take. In your case you also need a dress for the wedding. AND DON'T FORGET YOUR CAMERA!

The times I have flown I carried several BIG suitcases...it might be a good idea to take a carry on bag with a change of clothes and anything else you HAVE to have in case your luggage (heaven forbid) gets lost...not a big bag...sorta like a backpack or small duffle bag..If you can carry shampoo and things like that now put them in a ziplock bag...first time I flew all of mine came open and spilled all over my clothes..oh and roll your clothes, like shirts and shorts, pants, underwear...they take up much less room and they dont get wrinkled..(military tip someone told me long ago)..I always carry the biggest purse I can find..can put lots of things in there like your camera, some snacks if you want..I havent flown since 9/11 so I dont know how things have changed since then...I know no one can go to the boarding gate with you now..hope this helped you a little bit..I am so happy for you..sounds like a fun trip...

Eng is right. Even when I travel by car I put Shampoo's and anything liquid in ziplocs. I have had stuff spill all over too. What a mess. I also roll my clothes, it does help.

Crops, last time I flew... You still can't bring more than 3oz of liquids per person through the security checkpoints, only medications... If you need something to take on the plane, buy it at the giftshop after you get through security.

Any make sure you use the pint-size ziplock bags, not the quart size... they will make you change them out...

I have traveled with this company before when we went to Egypt and they were great. First rate hotels and service and very reasonable. I recommend them. We are going on the Athens and 4 day Greek isle trip. The one we went on last time was the Pyramids and Nile cruise. There are lots of others I would like to try. They have some very strict rules now! On Southwest Airlines, My son and I had are shampoo taken. My son also had his "GEL" for his hair and his toothpaste. So, this is what we were told...... For Carry on: We could not have more than 3.5 oz of liquid or gel(TOTAL) and it must be put into a clear zip lock bag. This also includes cologns and hair sprays. SO, if your taking these items, plan to pack them in your suitcase. 3.5 oz is not much and that is all you can carry on. I understand the other Airlines have the same restrictions.

There is nothing wrong with my mattress. Ever since I had it dry cleaned 24 years ago, it's been in prestine condition. It does not smell, it does not stink. You are right Onie..it needs to be retired to somewhere but..no museum would have it...the Salvation Army would burn it..and the monkeys might be jumping away from it instead of on it (When I saw them on it they were holding their nose's)..seems the best thing would be to clean all the money out and have a big bonfire at the next football game!!! I think even the rats would run if we tried to put it in the dump!!! And GRANNY don't try to blame it on us that you are crazy!!! I am trying to get in the mood for this trip to Disney but for some odd reason I just cant get excited about it! Maybe its because this is my first time to fly, Yes I have to admit I am a wee bit scared LOL Not sure how many suitcases to pack either, Will i have to much or will i not have enough!??? DO I buy shampoo or maybe the hotel will have that! So many questions and not enough anwers! LOL
I have been going through alot of old pictures of my girls and I think I am going to start a book for each of them, When you see them, remember the pix are not that great cause I wasnt that good at taking pictures but I want them to have those memories, Plus it will give me a good reason to scrap!
I dont usually do quick pages but I think now is going to be a good time, I have sooo many of them!!! And they are all soo good I cant let them go to waste! LOL Until later... Chow Peeps!:)

Theres an old empty store at the end of the street by the park that might be a perfect place to put the baby and the monkeys...needs a little work on the windows and doors so they cant get out..however the monkeys (or some of them anyway) seem to be getting into some trouble..I did see some in the park with little play clothes on so they might be wonderful playmates for her...and they were soo cute..I had to stop and watch them for awhile...I got a picture of one of them !!

LOL well maybe a little bored..the books of the girls sounds like a great idea to me..I may do that later I just HATE scanning pics...I have a lot of old old pictures on the computer so I decided to do them and put them in books for the kids..I have a hard time with vintage LO's..Ive been looking in different galleries trying to get some ideas..everyone here does such pretty ones I may scraplift some of them LOL...
Stop worrying about your trip...flying is wonderful..I know how you feel though..I was scared to death the first time I flew..but I was across the asle from this nice older man and he knew I was scared from the way I was gripping the arm rest and the told me what to expect when we taking off and the noise from the flaps as we were getting ready to land..when we landed to let some passengers off and took off again I was fine...Its so peaceful when you are up in the clouds..its like you are just sitting still in one place.. Its strange to see land from so high up..its layed out in different shapes..some are square, some pie shaped..some people dont like taking off but I love it..if you are too scared just get some motion pills and take some and you will sleep the whole trip LOL..Im sure the hotel will probably have shampoo and stuff but if not you can always get some there..dont worry about that...I would try to think of what I would be doing while I was gone and carry an outfit for each thing..probably some shorts and also a couple pair of jeans a pair of dress pants..shirts that will go with them all..comfortable old shoes for disneyland and your dress shoes for the wedding..oh and one important thing..if you have a gift for the bride and groom..dont wrap it up..they will make you unwrap it..You are going to have a great time so stop worring so much about what to wear and all that stuff..just pack it and go..LOL they arent going to make you take stuff out and leave it so dont worry..if you have too much the only thing it will hurt is you having to deal with your luggage ..just dont take more than you can carry and you will be ok..:) Dont know where eng is but Sue is out of town for the weekend...gotta go..(((HUGGS)))

Crops... Look, there is only one thing to remember, KISS! Keep it simple, stup.... Well, you get the idea. Just don't try to put every thing in your suitcases. You're not allowed to cook on the plane anyhow, so you won't need the stove and the kitchen sink. And flying is still the safest way to travel. Hmmm.... Or so they say. But look, a plane falling off the sky never did hurt no one. It's the sudden stop at the bottom that gets you every time. BUTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!....

Yes Crops, I am back. Hubby and I went for a little get away down in South Eastern Ohio (Hocking Hills area for those that are familiar). It is Hilly and scenic down there. Not like Toledo which FLAT. There was suppose to be a bad Ice Storm coming through. We thought we would be driving on icy roads coming home, but we were lucky, we didn't get it in the area we were traveling. It was in the 40's and 50's most of the weekend and sunny. Great weather for the get away. Saw 8 deer down there, and a bunch of peacocks were in a field along the highway on the way back. At least that is the only thing we could figure that they were. We turned around and went back to get another look. I took a picture. They were at a distance. It was a bunch of huge birds. At first I thought Turkeys or buzzards, but they looked bigger than that. Then we decided they were peacocks. When I got home, I downloaded the pictures. Then I enlarged the picture as much as possible. Thier feathers weren't opened but the birds were blueish in color so I am pretty sure we were right. 4 of the deer we saw, ran across the road in front of us. If we hadn't slowed down we would have hit the 4th one. I never have my camera ready at moments like that, Darn. We saw one of them when we were walking, but by the time I grabed my camera it ran away. The other 3 were in a field along the road.

All in all, it was a nice time.

I have been staying with my mom since Friday..she's not feeling too good..and she gets lonesolm so Ive just kept staying a few days..Ive popped in at home a couple of times to stay with andrew so Lori could take care of some errands..and of course had to see what was going on at SBM...sure a lot of pretty new LOS..I have been going thru more old old Vintage pics at my moms house..some are on tin..I may try to scan some just to see what they look like..would love to have copies of them for the kids..ya'll take care and I will see you soon...(((HUGS)))

they are about 60 miles away now and heading this way..the weather is really starting to get rough with lots of rain, wind, thunder and lightening..they seem to be making a path from the bottom of the state thru the middle and over to the GA line..We live in a valley so they usually go over us..I have stood on my porch and watched them go over ..my dad always said that one day one would get down in the valley and would tear everything up before it could get out...I heard awhile ago that these were the worst storms in 17 years...dont know about that but they are bad...they are still finding bodies at the high school..tornado season is starting off with a bang for sure!!!..going to shut the computer down now...talk to ya'll later...

Hi you guys..made it fine..we only had some thunderstorms and some medium winds..all has passed thru now..if you think about it watch cnn or fox and see the pictures of the school in Enterprise, Alabama that was destroyed..oh man what a mess hard to believe anyone survived..death count was 5 last news I heard..very sad but not as bad as they originally thought..

Hi guys....sorry been so long and that it took more days than I originally thought I'd be out of here. One thing after another kept happening -- first the thing with my son, he's okay, but it won't be over for several more weeks yet -- and now to add to that (which was stressful enough) my hubby was laid off work 'cause they don't have enough work for the guys, our car has quit working, and my dad had surgery and probably will have more (we find out next week), blah blah blah. It's just been so much stress for our family that I could barely make myself even do my regular web work let alone do anything else on the computer. I've been trying to get myself in the right mind frame the past two days to try and catch up with you all here so you wouldn't worry too much longer....sorry, just the way it's been for me lately, making me feel depressed, exhausted and all. Thank you to those who have pm'd me and asked how things were going, you know who you are -- your messages meant a lot to me to know you cared that much. Just basically trying to let the Lord guide us and handle things best we can. I'll be in and out when I have time...{{{hugz}}} to all my friends here!

I talked to Andrews nurse tonight about Mary Ann..she wanted to know if she was sick with some kind of infection before this happened..she said usually you are and then it gets so bad it starts spreading all over your body until your body systems start shutting down..she said being in a medically induced coma didn't sound good...hopefully eye or onie can add more to this... :(

I know that everyone is worried and anxious for information regarding Mary Ann. Jazz was given a very good explaination. She has some type of an infection spreading throughout her body. It's hard to say exactly what the exact nature of the problem is but I agree that this is very serious. I hope that I can offer you some encouraging facts...... The doctors are treating her condition aggressively with antiobiotics etc. They are better able to manage pain concerns. Since we do not know the exact diagnosis, it's hard to speculate on the prognosis. I have seen patients in medically induced coma's that have recovered and some who did not. Just remember, the doctors but her in the coma and it is controlled by them. This type of coma is for her comfort and for healing of the body and brain. I have seen miracles in the past and I am praying for one now.

Due to HIPPA (Privacy Laws) the hospital can not give any information to non family members. Also, ICU can not allow plants, stuff toys, and balloons in the rooms. They items can harbor germs and affect the treatment.

The only thing I truly believe is that even though a person is in a coma, they can hear the voices of their love ones and those around them. I'm sure that those who are visiting her are sharing kind words from cards and messages of encouragment from everyone. And yes, I'm sure Larry will send her our messages too and I'm sure she will hear them. She will know that we're all praying for her!

I wished I could tell you all what you want to hear but being a medical professional, we can't. I can assure you that modern medicine has come a long ways and I truly believe that she is in good hands and is being kept comfortable.

I am thankful that we have someone who is able to keep us informed!

The hard part is that what we know is so broad and can in-tell so many things with varying outcomes. Right now her resting is so important so the antiobiotics can do their jobs. I'm positive that she is on some very strong medications.

She called me when her plane landed and you should have heard her squeel with delight when she saw her first palm tree. She had breakfast with the Disney characters yesterday and told me she was just like a little kid. I'm sure we will all be seeing her layouts soon. I personally am curious how she is going to do a layout of the mickey shaped waffle she took a picture of. LOL! I have given her the update on Maryann, I'm sure the first thing she'll do right when she walks in the door is to turn on the computer and see how she's doing. We are both praying for her. I have had a lot of fun watching her dogs, I had to return the favor for when she watched Juno for me. I have posted some layouts of the dogs, So Carol when your read this check it out! Hey, Knzus... Took me weeks of standing behind a tree to be able to get that shot. Man, you're careful! I agree with you, we need a bank. Jazz has the location right, but the bank went out of business when the general manager was found at the watering hole with the playboy bunny sitting on his knees, and a suit case full of our money by his feet. That's why I don't trust the bank anymore and put the money in my mattress.

We need a new manager to open the bank, but he/she must pass a rigorous background check before we will hand over the keys. And of course, Crops, our investigative reporter is on vacation, and Smiles is mia, so who is going to do the background check. Still, we can take resumes and start narrowing it down.

Can someone put a blasted notice in the local paper that the position is open? You know, Mary Ann would be perfect for the job when she gets back. I would trust her even with my money!!!!

Kansas sooo sorry to hear about all the rotten stuff that has happened to you, but sure am glad you are back! I was worring about you!! I have a saying that I am sure you all have heard before but it is my favorite and it is "This too shall pass" Whether its good or bad it all passes and becomes the past, we all must look towards the future day by day! Forget the bad and always remember the good!
Ok enough mushy stuff! (for now) I had the most MAGICAL TIME ever in my entire life! They actually say welcome home and have a magical day there! Go figure! I had that feeling since I step on the airplane Friday morning! Ok yes I was scared a bit when taking off and a little leery when we first started off, not sure whether I needed the barf bag, wanted to look down but my stomach was telling me not too! But rest assure Barf bag was not needed! LOL After we got there and opened the door to the outside we were literally smacked in the face with warm weather! WOW the first thing I see is a Palm Tree! I am in Heaven!!!! The temp reached 87 degrees Friday, it was tooo hot! LOL the aircondition didnt work in our room, but who I am to complain but that was the last day it was in the 80's the rest was 60's and 70's which to me was PREFECT! I have to say the biggest highlight of the trip (and there was soooooo many) was having breakfast with the characters, We had know idea we were going to do that! And When I saw Goofy I was soo elated but then came MICKEY, MINNEY, DONALD DUCK, and PLUTO! and they stayed during breakfast, everyone getting pictures and waving there napkins and singing, it was unbelieveable, the waffles shaped into mickey ears!
I got 1,000 pictures no lying! I have soooooo much scrapbooking it might take me years!!! LOL So anybody with disney stuff BRING IT ON! LOL
Saturday was the wedding rehearsal! soooo beautiful, Sunday the wedding! It was the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen, Magical in every way! This was the perfect wedding!! You could not say one bad thing about it! They got married in the wedding chappel as they said there vows over looking the castle! Sooo Beautiful!!! The reception was at the Grand Floridian, This place looks like the cruise ship on Titantic! It had the piano man right in the middle playing, the chandliers hangs from the ceilings were unbelievable! Then the glass elevator! WOWZA! In the smoking containers were a stamp with a fancy letter F I almost didnt want to put my cigerette out in it, but I took a picture before I did! LOL Yesterday we were in Downtown Disney ohhhh so many things there Lego Land, wait to you see the pictures unbelieveable! We shopped most of the morning, then by 3:00 we headed to the airport, this time I wasnt afraid! LOL but it was dark by the time we started to take off, Finally arrived home at 11:00pm. So much catching up to do in here! its going to take days!!!!! Well there is tons more to say but you got the gist of it! Its freaking soooo cold here! LOL I am stayin in my jammies today!!! The Mexican Restaurant is going out of business. He claims that he has been offered a better deal. He said he will be opening a few big restaurants in a bigger towns. To be honest, I heard the Apes got lose in the restraurant here in Scrapsville and they threw food everywhere. They also doctored up the food with a bushel of Chiles. He also found a pair of pink panties hanging out of the freezer.

So, the B&B is going to have to find another cook.... Do you know of any new cooks in the area? :eek:

Thanks Marion--I will have to do just that. Right now I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my grandson. He lives in Iowa and they are on there way here-and I can't wait to see him! My son's Uncle (my ex-brother-in-law) passed away last Sunday and they are having a memorial service for him tomorrow. He was way too young to pass (51); but unfortunately he had a drinking problem and literally drank himself to death. They are not having a traditional memorial for him--they are having a getogether at his favorite bar. It may be what he wanted, but there are lot of family that didn't agree with his drinking and don't go to or feel comfortable in bars-so they won't be going. They should have had a small memorial in the chapel and than for those interested hold a send off for him at the bar. I have very mixed emotions about it-but that's what he wanted and that's what his kids are doing. It's unfortunate, but because of the way he lived his life all 5 of his children also have their addictions--instead of celebrating his life like that they should maybe look at it as a time to make some different choices for their lives. He will miss seeing his grandkids grow up and so much more. Being a grandparent is the most gratifying part of my life. Grandkids are soooo much fun!!! Sorry to unload on everyone--I'm just soooo happy to have the time with my grandson this weekend---and also soooo sad about the circumstances behind why I get to see him. My sons father (my ex-husband) was also an alcholic and he died the same way 2 years ago. It's so hard to see someone you love go like that. It isn't pretty. My son was at the hospital 36 hours wiping the blood from his fathers mouth as he slowly choked and died. That sounds so morbid, but it's reality and it doesn't seem to alter how these kids think or feel. They just look at it as another reason to party! Sorry for that. I just needed to get it off my chest. Anyways my grandson should be here within the hour and I will be getting lots of hugs and kisses and pictures!!! They laugh at me because I don't go anywhere without my camera!! I bet he (my grandson) would have fun chasing the monkeys around town too!! (ha-ha)

Hey Doll, Sorry about all the losses you have had! I really didnt mean that stuff about getting drunk, it was a joke, now I feel horrible! I for one havent had a drink in almost 2 years now, I did slip after a 3 years, I just take it day by day, thats all we can do anyway. I grew up with alcholics myself, its not an easy life.
So glad your GS is coming, what fun you are going to have! Take tons of pictures I for one cant wait to see them! Enjoy every minute!!!!

I was referring to his sisters in Texas-one of them lives in a dry county-can you believe they still have dry counties??? They are very Christian and would never step into a bar!! The truth of it is their father also died of alcoholism--so it runs in their family and they made the choice not to. I can't go to the RBA meeting tonight. I'm home, sick on my mattress. I had a very important place to go to today, and I'm pooping and pucking all over the mattress. Hubby had to stay home too to take care of me. I'm going to go to bed pretty soon. My throat hurts from all pucking. (Sorry, folks, I don't mean to be rude, but I feel like c........, well, you get the picture). It was probably the food I had at Onie's boyfriend's Restaurant. I hope they put him out of business. Haven't been this sick in ages.

Got a new program and paid for classes too, and I'm too sick to do it. Confounded. So do me a favor, folks, leave the mattress along at least for today, I need a play to rest. After that..... Hmmm. We'll see.

As for the Mexican food, yeah right, the only thing that was wrong with Granny was her non stop eatting. She wouldn't put the food down.

WOW havent seen this much activity around here in awhile..Welcome to Scrapsville...Land of the Free and Home of the Nuts..(and monkeys, apes, stray cats, dog, guiena pigs, fish, stray people...EVERYONE is welcome here) all you new citizens..dont try to figure this place out..no one can..and if we could then it would just be ordinary...Granny you better stay in bed woman even if you do hate it..that stuff is nasty and it takes awhile to get over it..and just when you think you are better it hits again..so TAKE CARE..
Onie..we would have already had that mattress burned if you hadnt accidently??? spilt the beans to granny and then told her we would leave it alone...but as soon as shes better..well lets just say the sky in scrapsville will be seen for miles around..better get sue to order some of those masks to wear while it burns..it will probably give off toxic fumes....(no wonder grannys sick)
