Hey, I'm sober. Granny called me a luscious turkey, so I went off the Rootbeer cold turkey...uh, no pun intended, LOL! I really only like my Dr. Pepper anyway. Besides, I'm trying to get my garden center store cleaned up and ready for opening day in Scrapsville, so I gotta keep my wits about me. Still have heat so far. Suppose to hear back tomorrow about the switch for the furnace. Hubby had to stack some things up against a pipe on the outside of the house that goes to the furnace. The wind was blowing so hard it was rattling the pipe causing the furnace switch to go crazy clicking away and the furnace wouldn't run. Stacking stuff against the pipe and shielding it from the wind helped. The switch needs replaced but they couldn't get it over the weekend. Sure glad the the makeshift fix worked, it is freezing out. It is like 20 something below with the chill factor right now.

Goodness Sac im glad you got it working. It seems like ours has a problem every 2 years, on a sunday! we wake up frozen to death.. and have to drive almost 40 min to get the part. Hubby finally learned how to fix it after we one time had someone fix it and got the bill!!

Stay warm, but if you need some extra warmth... dryers are on me this month for sac!

Don't know if I would trust you when you are on the binge. My clothes would all come out the same color.

Maybe that would be good - wouldn't have to worry about mismatches then.

I'm a diet pepsi or diet coke addict. It always offsets my craving for chocolate. One diet + one extra fat equals zero change.

We have to do something about that rootbeer addict at the laundrymat..I was walking by there today and looked in the window and she was standing on the washer dancin and shaking during the spin cycle!!!.
Knzus..here a suggestion about your poka a dot paint..if you cant get it..just cut out some circles from paper.tape them to the wall and paint around over them..when the paint dries pull them off and you have dots..or make yourself a stencil and paint the dots differerent colors..if it was me I would leave it one color and save myself a lot of trouble and work..anyway thats how they do it on HGTV..

As for the Security System, it would be a good idea if we all got one. The Peanut B&B will need one too. The furnace is brand new so it's nice and toasty. The fireplaces are soaring hot! May need to get some more wood cut. Do we have anyone that sales WOOD????

It actually was 82 in Phoenix yesterday... Gorgeous! Those are the kind of days we moved to Arizona for in the first place. One order of heat coming up!

I believe MaggieMay in is the Tucson area, which is about 120 miles east of Phoenix. I live about 30 from downtown Phoenix in Buckeye... Some sunny pics of my neighborhood

This has been a cold winter here for our first winter but yesterday was simply awesome! It was about 80 degrees, very sunny with just a little breeze! I am sending you a bundle of heat right now!! We've lived in some really cold places, too, and I remember the deep freeze very well! Especially, our years in Montana! BRRRRRRRRR!

Dr. Marion - I may need your help if school doesn't come back soon!!!! My poor puppy can't even go potty outside it's so cold! He shivers for 10 minutes if he spends just a minute outside!

It said high of 10 degrees here too. I was taking my mom to the doctor and the temp gage in my car said it was 7 degrees. That is warmer than yesterday. With chill factor yesterday it was 20 something below. It is sure making up for the warmer weather we were having in December and January!

WOW you guys..I thought I was cold here in the South...I guess yall would call my 20 deg weather warm..I wont complain anymore LOL..Huntsville which is about 70 miles from me had about 2 in of snow last week...not us..just sleet and freezing rain and a tiny bit of ice..but was gone the next morn..Kristy..I feel for you..I remember when we used to have snow every winter and ice too...I could count on about 2 times a year being snowed in with the girls..I always kept some little stuff..like books, magic coloring books..and so on that they didnt usually have and it worked good kept them occupied for part of the time anyway...

If Ida known it was gonna be so well-received, I mighta spent the extra cash I saved from the dead plants and useless items to have the opening day nicely catered, including some of those chocolate-dipped strawberries like at that B&B of Onie's. But then, you can't find one single strawberry left in this whole place, let alone any chocolate.

Hubby liked some kinda coconut chocolate ky fine chocolates used to make..Can't find them here.

Hey, who sent more snow my way???? I think we are suppose to get about 10inches. Oh Man, I am going to be sore! Hubby can't shovel because he hurt himself, tripped off the back porch. Now he is off work for at least a couple of days. So I am going to half to do all the shoveling.:(

My Dad would throw the shovel out the front door (we never had a garage, shed or anything) and yell at us to go shovel the sidewalk, front steps and driveway, then lock all the doors in the house until it was done...

In the summer, because he was too cheap to pay for a backhoe, he made us dig the tree stumps out BY HAND when he wanted to put the pool in...

When he built the fence around the pool, he made us paint the whole thing (both sides) with creosote with no gloves or goggles... It took a while for those chemical burns to heal.

No really, Most kids grew up having to do chores. I did. But painting with Creasote w/o gloves, that is not good. My father was a cement mason and worked with caustic materials. We were always taught to wear protective clothing, gloves what ever the case may be. I am on your side there Steve, that wasn't right.

We would only have kids shovel if they were coming around looking to make money. Nothing would be forced on anyone.

Well Jazz I have to tell ya I knew about Steve dancin but I didnt want to tell anyone, He paid me very well to keep my mouth shut, but since the cat is out of the bag and you all know, I cant keep me mouth shut any longer! Besides I spent all the money in New York on 5th Avenue!!!

Crops, I didn't get a Jeep! The last 3 vehicles we had were Jeeps. This one is a Saturn Vue. Drives real nice. Too bad I had to drive it in this lousy snow storm. Boy does it have pick up power, Wow. It is silver with Black leather and Suede seats. It's gonna take me a while to learn how to work radio. Oh, it has free Onstar for 1 year and has a built in hands free phone that comes with I think 100 free minutes. Now if the weather would just clear up so I can enjoy it! :D

Well, to be honest, I saw that lush nussbaum hanging around the punch bowl with a brown bag. I know she didn't miss the show And yes, nanac got in on the fun too...shes probably will have a bummed up knee because she was climbing up and down in the trees, chasing the Monkey that had the had the tray of chocolate strawberries. Now the ones you need to be concerned with are eng & eye because those two were running around with their digital camera. God only knows what kind of pics those two got. Now sue, crops and smile were there too.. I believe they were helping Steve with the props for his show. They also were making sure the thorns were removed from the stims of the roses. Good thing for that because I would have hated to see anyone choke on them. I also saw them arranging the lights just right for the POLE dance. And of course they kept going and drinking that punch from the bowl. I think your right about makeyesup because she was trying to get on the same table with Granny, but Granny wouldn't allow it. Granny hit her and knocked her on her butt.

What I can remember about my trip to the B&B is that I had a great time..the room was great..the bed was soooo comfortable..the bathroom with the spa tub was out of this world..the food was delicious..especially the Mexican..hope your Harold does open a restaurant here..Sorry about the rooms!! :eek:

Well I thought I was too till someone doctored my diet coke with lime..they probably did the same thing to yours..according to Onie I had a wild good time..lol...from the sound of things most everyone was in the same shape..I wouldn't be too worried about it..however eng and eye were making pictures..soooo we may all be caught in a "kodak moment"..I can just picture those two tiptoeing around,sneaking up on everyone to make their picture.. :rolleyes:

So glad you are joining us in scrapsville..drink your diet coke and I will try and fill you in a bit on the monkeys..around Christmas someone brought some big apes into Scrapsville, and soon after all these pranks starting happening..they covered my entire house with duct tape and I was taped in for weeks..they got into the rootbeer at the waterning hole..they doctored the rootbeer..they were on a rampage for awhile..then all of a sudden they were just gone..disappeared out of Scrapsville...then awhile back Onie opened a Bed & Breakfast (the grand opening is where Steve was pole dancing) and she had a monkey room and monkeys were in the trees outside the window..so thats how the monkeys got here..so far they arent mean like the apes..but there is no telling what they might end up doing..just whatever pops into someones head.. if you catch them at something please feel free to let us know..LOL..thats the wonderful thing about Scrapsville you NEVER know whats going to happen next..just depends on ones imagination. its just like one big on going soap opera..two things are a definate though..Scrapsville is filled with caring, loving people ..there are no strangers here just wonderful friends.. and Granny always carries her dirty..stinky, molded mattress around with her..she keeps all her cash there plus all her other valuables.......oh..and another thing..I'm the long winded one here..I never seem to know when to shut up...LOL :)
