I accidently got my layout in the gallery twice! I put it in the new area and the old gallery. I've tried every which way to delete the gallery one and I can't. I've gone to My Photos and Edit and there's no delete option. Ideas anyone? I didn't mean to have it up there twice!! :o

Hi there!

To MaggieMae and anyone else who is wondering:

If I understand your above post correctly, are you concerned that your layout appeared in both the Look At My Layout section and the "Recent Photos"?

Don't worry -that will happen. It's another "automatic" thing that happens in the gallery. If you upload a layout to any of the categories (like the contests, or the new Look At My Layout space) it will also automatically be available in your member gallery (because you are uploading logged in with your member name and your password). So that means that it will also show up in the Recent Photos (the photos you see when you first go into the gallery) section, no matter where you upload your layout.

Make sense? Is that what happened? Or did I miss what you were concerned about?

I actually had two of the same layout in the first gallery! It was my mistake but the ability to go into edit and delete seems to have disappeared! With computers, it's always something!! :p I'll go check again and see if I can delete a layout or not. Actually, it doesn't show up twice right now. :o

Hmmm. Yes I think the delete function is gone.

As for your layout (the one you uploaded to the Look At My Layout gallery) is it under your My Photos section in your member gallery? It should be somewhere... And just to clarify, when you say it's in both galleries, do you mean it is showing up in the Look At My Layout section and the Recent Photos (that's techincally not a gallery). Sorry to be nit-picky - I just want to make sure I understand.

I hope that helps. It is the weekend, so our techie guys are a bit scarce. I'm learning all the time but I'm not really a tech guru...

Hi - here's a link to your member gallery. The layouts that you uploaded to the Look At My Layout gallery category are there (near the bottom).

Techically, the Look At My Layout category is a sub-category of your Member Gallery - everything in the gallery is. That's why no matter where you upload something, it will always be in your member gallery, too - and this means it shows up in the Recent Photos. Don't worry about your images appearing in the Look At My Layout and the Recent Photos - that's just how the forum software works. Recent Photos just shows everything that's been uploaded anywhere in the gallery (contest, albums, Look At My Layout).

I hope I've understood and explained properly. Sometimes I wish we could all just get on the phone and chat, or better still, get in a great big room and talk - things make so much more sense with pointing and body language!:D

MaggieMae, once again ;) - yes, your layout would be moved out of Look At My Layout if you put it in another album. While whatever you put in Look At My Layout will appear in your member gallery (since Look At My Layout is really and technically a sub-category within your Member Gallery), the same does not work in reverse (i.e. whatever you put in your member gallery does not automatically show up in Look At My Layout - you have to specify that that's where you want it to go.

I guess if you want something in both a particular album in your member gallery and in the Look At My Layout section, you'll have to post it twice. Think of Look At My Layout as a bulletin board separate from your albums where you show off your favorite layouts. That's really the best solution we've come up with that allows the community to have a page where we can limit posts and everyone can get a thumbnail view of a whole bunch of different layouts.

Apologies to everyone who's looking for Non Scrapbook Related Stuff here - but it's so fun, we can't help ourselves!

We had that awful ice storm in our region back on Jan 4 2004...we were without power for 9 whole days...kinda bad for us, cuz we needed power to run BOTH heat and electricity in our house, LOL! Geesh, I never want to go through that again. But then, it was the trees that came down all over the region that caused all the problems. We got rid of the two worst trees this past autumn, so hopefully the other two are good for if something like that happens again. So we know how western Kansas and everyone around us has felt these past couple weeks with all this stuff going on. Hey, we've got an icicle that's 3 feet long hanging from one of the eaves on the house. If it's still there tomorrow, gonna take a picture of it...might be bigger by then, too, haha! :D

Oh, wow, how cool! Tomorrow is my birthday, too!

The Toto dog is a magnet on my refridgerator that I scanned the other day...the words are from the other Toto magnet I have (I collect Toto/stuff)...and the paw prints with letters for his name are from my "Enobled Pets" font...so I basically combined all and made a PNG graphic. If you want to save the graphic and print it on his card or whatever, you go right ahead. :D

And please tell your hubby HAPPY BIRTHDAY from another Jan 22 birthday person!

Oh gosh, you guys -- you're all so great! Thank you for the birthday cards and wishes! I'm not done looking at them, so am going back and forth between here and there. I've brought you all some Root Beer to start on while I finish looking at these cards....be back in a bit to tell you about my day :D

Wow, what a day, and then I come into Scrapsville and look what you guys have been doing! Thank you for topping off my day with all your special cards and wishes for me! You guys have become some very special dear people already...thank you!

The kids and grandkids made it from Hutchinson (they said the highway had been cleared off, thank goodness). We went out to eat at Appleby's, my fave restaurant -- I had the honey grilled salmon, yummmmmmmmmmy! Then, we came back to the house and did the gifts and cake and hilarity stuff. They gave me some rooster, chicken, and duck knick-knacks and things for my kitchen and livingroom. Daughter-in-law, Amanda, gave me a beautiful pastel lavender silk nighty and some really soft terry socks. They also got me a DVD of the first season of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (the show from TV hosted by Drew Carey, for those who don't know). Amanda made my cake, simple like I requested...the candle was in the shape of a headstone and said "Over The Hill, Too Old To Count!" LOL! They had attached black and white balloons that said the same thing, and one balloon was rainbow colors with the number 50. I think I heard just about every joke and jibe today about turning 50, plus even a couple about blondes turning 50! And my children reminded me that I can now join AARP. *groan* Oh, and then....we had fun with the helium balloons. ROTFL! Oh gosh, I haven't laughed so hard for ages! I made a quick page that I will upload in a minute. I need another piece of cake first...*runs downstairs to the kitchen* :D

Oh Diana so happy you had a great day!!! It is sooo easy to become part of this community isn't it! Almost everyone in here cares about each other, we are a close knitted community and stick by each other thru thick and thin.

Ok enough being mushy!!!!

This morning I slept until 10:30! OMG I think I needed some down time, Now I am finally refreshed and it feels great!!!! I woke up to my newpaper shredded into tiny bits, yes the dogs were busy while I slept, so I cleaned up most of it and got the vaccuum out and tried to get the rest up and only to see smoke coming out of it!!! NOPE I didn't get the camera to take pictures I wasnt in the mood for that! LOL but I should of it would of been a good page to do! LOL Now at this point I think This is not going to be a good day maybe I should just go back to sleep and hope tomorrow will be better! HAHAHAHAHA But I didnt, I got a surprise phone call this morning well come to think of it, It was this afternnoon- time flies when one sleeps in late! LOL anyways It was Smile! How that made my day!!! Thanks Smile I sure needed some laughs this morning, you must have been reading my mind and knew it was the right time to call! LOL
So anyway here I am still in my jammies it almost 1:30 and I havent done a thing except pick up newpaper and burned out the vacuum. LOL I hope to be changed before the kids and hubby get home, but if that doesnt happen it wont be the first time and it certainly wont be the last! HAHA

sounds like things have been pretty quiet around here today..Diana glad you had such a

Its was cold here yesterday and sorta dreary looking..I just stayed in and wrapped up and watched some tv..worked on a new page I finally got posted..I could not for the life of me remember how to color my black and white sketch..I had just done some for One of angies pages for mothers sb..see I knew my brain was still not right LOL..
Andrews night nurse husband delivers for Dominos Pizza and if they have pizzas left that people didnt pick up, or for some other reason, he gets them and brings them to us..Tuesday night he brought 8 large ones..we pigged out on pizza at 12 last night and I am so stuffed..they will be all gone by this afternoon when all these boys come in and out...one night he brought 13 that had been left from a band festival we call him the pizza man.. :) Crops you poor thing..I think you need to keep those babies of yours penned up while mama sleeps late LOL.well you had a good excuse not to clean up the house :)

Linda.....I love it - I love it - I love it! I left some comments for you :) I'm really sorry I didn't get to do that sooner. Just as I was looking at it the other day, one of the tree limbs out back broke and fell on our cable line, snapping it off the pole and yanking it from the house. They just got done reconnecting it a while ago. The ice from 2 weeks ago, and then last weekend's snowstorm weakened the limb -- it was already pretty creaky from the ice storm back in Jan 2004, but too high up for us to do anything about...well, it's taken care of now, LOL! But anyway -- thank you Linda for being such a doll and making that beautiful card for me! {{BIG HUGZ}}

No Crop I think MSN is probably fine. I was just in and out, in and out. Just like you saw. I didn't stay on real long at any given time, except when it was late. I've heard a lot of women say their lives would be much easier if they just had a sports store, a golf store, a hunting store, and the scrapbook store all lined up...with all that activity and traffic, I'm capitalizing. We're including a deli and a coffee joint.

But, I need me some employees. Who wants the coffee store/deli?

I'm really thinking I may as well include a book store in this chain as well.

I may just buy up this whole lot of storefronts...this place needs some life.

Who's into books? We knock out one more wall, put the deli/coffee in the middle, throw books on one side, scrapping on the other.

I started following those Apes into the woods, and I got LOST!!!! I tried to find my way back but it started to snow! I tried to send up an S.O.S. message but had no luck, because the snow kept covering up the message! Finally, I hid in a cave because it got totally FREEZING. I didn't even have a match to start me a fire!!!!! Would you believe...... I ended up following those Apes back into Scrapsville!!!!! I had to take myself to the Emergency Room because my feet got frost bitten. I am happy to report that the ER is in good hands and they took care of the HEAD NURSE and her frost bitten feet!

Have posted some images in a different thread to give you an idea of what the BIG Scrapsville pic will look like. Got a few more done, btw Hubby is helping me on this one, he has made the IV stand and the Overbed table. This is a great project actually, we're both learning so much about this 3D graphics program. We didn't use it much only for making very basic models for a 3D chat world where we met and had not had the heart to use it for "real" graphics work as we both thought everyone else is much better LOL. This is teaching us that thought was a load of ole cow dung. I'm quite pleased with my 1st pics .... just gota work on the lighting for the big scene.

Please forgive me if I worried anyone by not sticking my head in and saying hi every few days. I've been a very bad bunny and promise to come in and say something, even if its a hi, in the future.
