Well another year has gone and a new wrinkle appeared as well as a new dimple I call smiley some would say cellulites shhhhhhh.I never used oil of ole lady so I am being punished by time.Whats this I see more grey helllppp!!!.Instead of turning into the New Year Baby I turned into ole Saint Nick.Another year of youth has gone and another birthday year has arrived.I hope all has enjoyed this past year and I hope the new one will bring riches to many.HAve a great day.:D

Happy New Year Everyone. 2007 ...where did 2006 go....come to that 2005! A lot of the celebrations were cancelled because of the weather. Considerered too dangerous to have the firework displays. The huge one in Scotland that is shown on tv was just a load of empty streets, usually heaving. Anyway my son went to London to see the New Year at Trafalgar Square. He left as soon as it the New Year was in to get back home as he had work at 10am. He didn't realise the traffic would be so bad and arrived home at 5am. I made him get a taxi as he had too little sleep to drive. I will have to pick him up at 5pm. At least he finishes early today! I am slobbing, have my dressing gown on and it's 1:30pm.
It's bright sunshine here too.

Goodmorning (Afternoon) everyone, and Happy New Year. Well I was up late and slept in late. Just got up and took a shower. Need to try to get motivated to take down the Christmas decorations. It is normally an annual event for me. But we will see how energetic I actually get. ha ha.

~Hearing a little giggle as a hand springs in to action to catch another flying veggie from this years Christmas present. I look and wonder who dropped the bomb in the living room today. Oh yeah, my darling little princess come veggie slinger [thankfully plastic veggies] who thought up the master plan of tipping out her new toy box in order to find the broccoli buried right at the bottom. This was of course after flinging half the contents across room. The flinging move she got from the kids on Barney. I swear that purple dinosaur is a menace to society at times :D ~

I'm not really a writer/reporter either but it might be fun to do a Free Lance weekly column type thing for the scrapsville Times. Picking out an "interesting" aspect of scrapsville or some such. I'll have to do a little catching up cos I'm sure its changed since page 18 ............ teehee.

Muma sounds good ..... A.M. reminds me too much of the morning and I not good in the mornings. Need at least an hour to wake up and my brain doesn't warm up until mid-day.

I read some today [and don't worry, I didn't print it all out, just got it into print format on my pc so its easier to read :) ] had a little drama at home though with the little ones temp at 103.2 so spent most of the day calming her down. Think she is teething to, but not sure. Her cheeks have been red for a few days and she pointed to her cheek when I asked where it hurt, but she is showing no other signs.

Anyway, I digress. I have read some but still cant answer the question yet. Just had a thought though. Answer the dog name question and I get paid. What if there is no dog and I never can answer the question? Does that mean I will never get paid?? .... hmmmmm

This world gets smaller! The same Sheila Coxhill! Has a daughter Sally. My Mum went to ballet with Sheila Coxhill and both became ballet and tap teachers. I went to Sheila because my Mum didn't want to teach her own children. I didn't know she did tap, I loved that more. I occassionally have spotted her shopping in Luton. She carried on teaching forever lol.
I worked in a school in Houghton Regis but thats closed now.
My son works in Dunstable, in Ladbrokes. My Dad lives in a flat that overlooks the Priory Church.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been on, but I have been tied up all day trying to fix my stupid templet for the challenge. First I thought I had it in, but I had checked the box to remove pictures, so nothing showed up when you would open the templet. So then I re-did it without the check and It was so big, I couldnt get it loaded. I had to go back and re-size everything. And had to re-create my corners because You can't save those outside SBM. (I used the corner shape to make it) That was a pain. Hopefully it is ok now. But if anyone downloaded my first templet, you will need to re-do it from my last post.

WOW Slow day in Scrapville today! I bet everyone is at the pub drunk as a skunk!!!!! I have some good news for anyone who is interested!!! I called Jazz this evening and she just got out of hospital!!!!!! Isnt' that GREAT!!!!
I told her about her winning the Challenge and she is thrilled!!!! Made her night I think!!! She told me to tell ya all thanks for thinking and praying for her! She misses everyone sooo much!!! And she still didnt finish that book for her mom!!!! She will have lots of time as she recoups!!! I told her just to take it easy that we want her back HEALTHY!!! Well that is it for the night!!!! I have tons of thinking to do with this challenge!!!! YO Marion I love the LOs if you want to do one for me I'd be greatfull! LOL But I have a whole month to work on it! I think it is the colors that are blowing me away!
After a few months of greens, oranges, browns, reds. then I feel like I got hit with shocking pink UGH! Oh well that why it is a challenge!!!! LOL

Decided two days after I downloaded SBM that I was going to keep it, but I had to mail in a money-order, so I have to wait...*twiddles thumbs*...I want that watermark gone gone GONE so I can get down to some serious page makin' and upload some good stuff. Haha. Okay, not scrapbook-related stuff....*scratches head*....uhhhhhhh....*searches brain for comments*.....geesh, I'm never stumped like this!

Eye, don't give up, You will see him again. I agree with you about the girls. 2 of my sister in laws just went to court for grandparents rights and they both won visitation rights. The courts are getting better at recognizing grandparents as wel as dad's rights.

I was so sorry to read about your trouble. I have lost 3 grandsons during a bitter divorce - it's so hard on the grandparents and the children miss out on a lot. My husband is their only living grandfather and he's such a great grandpa and they are missing out on all he could teach them.

You never know what the future holds, I had 2 sons go through divorce and our first son gained equal custody and placement. He has his son every other week for the entire week. My second son has primary custody of both of his boys. So many girls play games with their kids's lives, hopefully she will come to her senses and see what she is doing to her child.
And Julie, as your grandsons get older, even their parent may have a heart and let you into their lives again and if not, they may opt to get in contact with you as they get older.
We are GRANDPARENTS, we NEVER give up!

We have the same situation in our family! My parents are having a hard time dealing with the loss of the 3 grandsons and the way those boys have disowned their dad (my brother) Believe me, my parents did nothing to deserve that kind of treatment, nor did my brother. I consider my brother a hero because he put his wife through her GED, her Bachelor's degree, then her Master's Degree. She spend half the week out of town, while my brother played Mr. Mom with the boys. She dumped my brother within 6 months of her graduating, and took the boys!

Your right, it's not fair and I have to believe that what goes around will come around, in time! I just wanted to share with you that your not alone.

Ok Eye, my computer caught something from your computer LOL, I lost my sound!!!!!

I think it this was my fault though, but the geek squad was going to charge over $100.00 to come and check it out:eek: I think I know what I did, I don't know if I can solve it myself or not. Might have to take in in to get fixed. But I will play around with it for a little bit first. I think I accidentally send my sound into cyberspace. Don't know if I can get it back.

I had lost the control that was at the bottom (in the tray). So I put an Icon on the desktop. That was a while ago. Last night I had deleted a bunch of stuff, then emptied the recycle bin. Haven't had sound since then, so I think my sound control was in the bin that I emptied. The sound control in the Control Panel says "No audio Device". So I think it is totally gone.

One theory could be .....Bobby came to Scrapsville for a rootbeer, the naked apes took him out of revenge for getting duct taped, they did not take very well to being duct taped and hate the smell of WD40. So out of childish spite they took Bobby, duct tape him to the wall, and they are letting him look at the forum, but not post or contact us....

Oh What great news that BB was not been talkin by the apes!!!!!
But an ape has bitten my dog Shelby, and her nose it swollen! Darn Apes!!!!
She looks horrible!!!! some of the swelling has come down and hopefully by tomorrow she will be her old self again.
MARION -- What happened to your pictures in the gallery???? All weekend long it shows nothing!!!! Could one of those apes stolen them??? Darn Apes!!
I have noticed the gallery is getting swamped lately, maybe they should limit uploads to 5 per day or something, I have missed sooo many lately as once they leave the front page I have no idea where they are!!!
Well another yucky Sunday!!! rainy and cold but at least we dont have the ice that is happening elsewhere! I think its a good day to do some cards. Well yesterday I was busy because I had a baby shower to go to in Michigan, was gone all afternoon. It was also hubby's birthday yesterday, but since I was gone most of the day yesterday we will be getting together today with our Mom's for his birthday. Just been shopping and dumped it in the kitchen Told Jasper to keep his nose out of the bags while I went to the loo. Heard some rustling and called to him to him to leave. He was gone when I went back. Then I heard 'rip' 'rip'. He was unwrapping a whole pack of pork and beef strips!

Oh No Eng! Expensive No No Jasper did. Bet he was a happy camper though when he openned it. LOL I once dumped a dish full of cooked barbecue chicken on the floor at my mom's house. Star's eyes lit up and he started to make a dash for it. We had to stop him and he got a look in his eye as to say "HAY, Hay It's mine , It's on the floor that means it's mine!" He regularly checks the floor for any dropped food so he didn't seem to think it was fair that we didn't let him have the chicken. Luckily it didn't all spill, so we still got to eat. I was so embarrassed!

I know what you mean about the Gallery. There are so many members now and more of them are posting multiple pages. So anymore, if you put something in, it is only there for a little while, sometimes not even a full day. I know it is still there. If you click on 7 day view, it will show more pages to click on, but I don't think everyone realizes that or checks it. Once it leaves the first page, thats it. If I don't recognize any of the layouts on the first page, I will click on 7 day view, it pops up with 1 through how ever many pages there are. Then I click on the 2nd page to see where I left off. Sometimes I have to go to the 3rd page because there have been so many added.

Yes I agree one day someone covered the whole page and my layout was on but a few sec. We should all respect one another works by not overloading their layouts all at once. I sometimes have four layouts but I save them and once in awhile I will put it on one at a time as I respect and try to give others a fair chnace. I Have lost everything on computer but something told me to save last week and I did.Oh well nothing like starting new and fresh.now if:eek: Those kids touch it with games,games I will------.I lost my Photo shoppe but now can have a choice of three. Lucky me. Will start with the one I know and perhaps graduate to the next level.I want to make weird pleasing layouts. I like to be able to turn heads. :)

I posted several in the last few days, but like someone mentioned they are not showing up , there should be a daily limit. Other sites do that too. By the time I post one, someone else will post 6 or 12 and like you say then they disappear from the page. I don't think they are trying to be inconsidered of others but just realize that's what happens.

I have some good news on Shelby, she finally came to me tonight with a ball in her mouth! I know that sounds so weird to say But it made me soooo happy! She has been sleeping so much, and the swelling is starting to go down, she finally ate diner tonite so I just hope everything stays down!
I have been calling her name but she wouldnt come to me at all I even waved my jammies at her to bite them like she always does but nothing! I thought she was mad at me! But Now I think she is going to be ok! Whewwwwwwww

Crops - your dog sounds like he/she had quite a trauma - poor thing! You all seem to have wonderful furbabies - well, I'm about to get mine - in a couple weeks little Eddy will be coming home with us. He's a very small Shih-Tzu/Yorkshire mix. The cutest little thing you've ever seen! His momma is as sweet has honey. I can't wait to bring the little bugger home!

Ugh, I can't get rid of this nasty cold...just keeps hanging on. *ACHOOOO* :eek: Sorry. *sniffle* We got 2 inches of freezing rain/sleet over the weekend... not a bit of it was snow, so the white stuff in my yard just doesn't count for anything. The dogs go running out the back door to do their "jobs" and, oh boy, it's like a skating rink out there for them, haha! Poor things. If it was snow, that they'd love (they actually play in the stuff with me), but this icy crud is for the birds (who don't want it either). Speaking of birds, :) ...we live 5 houses from the creek here, so have many MANY geese in the area...because the creek is frozen, when they come in for landing, whoosh! LOL! And taking off or just waddling along is another matter!

Well, I need to go make myself some tea then get my work started so I can come back tonight and play. Ya'll have a great day...or sleep, depending on which side of the world you're on, haha! :)

We got the storm last night and today - but because we're so much farther north, only a little of it was sleet - the first 2 hours or so, then then the rest was snow. We have a good 2-3 inches on the ground. The kids were geeked - SNOW DAY!!! (Not because of the snow, we're used to that in Michigan, but the ice underneath isn't so pleasant to drive in!)

I read the comments to our Newbie and think you did a very nice job! It would be nice if we had a link for our newbies that has ettiquettes on postings. For example, when newbies discover all the freebie templetes and embies on here, that date back to the beginning of SBM, I get frustrated when I have to sort through all the "thank you for sharing" postings. Everyone wants to know that their contributions are appreciated but I find it hard to sort through all of the postings. I personally find it much easier to send out a personal message to the designers and thank them for all of the contributions.

On the other hand, I love the way some of you welcome our newbies to the forum. Rather than posting individually to everyone......... You send out a GROUP WELCOME to all the newbies.

I find that our group here is very special and that we all love and care about each other. We support everyone with their scrapbooking as well as the good and bad things that happen in our personal lives. I don't want our friendships to ever change!

I found myself missing a bunch of goodies and instructions, when I am sorting through them! I try to skip over all the thank you posts when I see them but later discover others have added more embies further down in the thread that I skipped over. I do send out notes to designers occasionally too but not 20-30 in a row.

Right now I am still trying to figure out how to use a few of the shapes/templetes that I've gotten. I've been looking for answers to a few of my questions and I'm afraid I will miss them. Does that make sense?

Example: How the heck to you all make a zip file to post on here? lol I love some of the templetes I got but their all square in shape and I do my pags 8 1/2 x 11. Still haven't figured out how to get those ones retangular.

Onie, when you select a paper in SBM to create with, you can go to "effects" and "Crop", Then you can shape the square paper to a rectangle. Does that make sense? Of course I use 8 x 8 and haven't actually tried it with 8 1'2 X 11 hopefull it works.

Hi all, won't be on long, I got the crud! Some sort of bug, don't know what. It started last night as our mom's were getting ready to go home. I was sick all night and I am still sick. I am sore all over too, My back was killing me laying on the couch, so I decided to come up and check out what was going on. Way to go Crops! I was going to go check it out by clicking on the link, but it must be gone. It says no picture. I did see before coming in here though that is was filled up. Just checked and they are all gone!

Well talk later. Need to go back to the couch!

And my kitty kat - he's 12 and has been my baby since before I had any babies. He's getting old and very crotchety now - I'm surprise I got this picture of him looking remotely happy. CATS...can't live with 'em and.....(you know the rest or make up the rest depending on how you feel about cats! :D )

Oh sure, don't worry about all that stuff, that is many many pages ago. All is safe now. We even thought naked apes had abducted Bobby bear, but he is all safe and just resting. Everything else is all under control. If you have any further trouble, I am the resident head shrink in this place and I have a nice couch!

Hello Gang...I think I saw 2 big apes running around in my yard earlier tonight..I hope they leave me alone..still havent got all the duck tape off from being taped in..I was also thinking they might really have Bobby Bear and just made him write what he did..they sure are scary looking hairy things..gosh hope all the sick folks are feeling better..hope you havent got the crud I had and still trying to get over..ITS TERRIBLE..drink lots of water...a_nussbaum the best place to find root beer in scrapsville is at the watering hole..you can usually find Smile there having a bottle or 2 or 3 or more..shes a lush for the stuff..by the way when I was reading back I didnt see any posts from smile on Monday..hope she is ok..hope everyone makes it thru the bad weather ok..it was in the
70s here this morn and tonight its raining and going down to 32..thats the south for you!

Yes in Canada Root beer is a pop and it is good. My mum used to make rootbeer when I was a kid. very tastey. A&W has it as well.:D

Goodness jazz take care of yourself. Those apes could really be ---you know who . They are mean. I think they are the ones who duct taped your whole house and stole all the Christmas Decorations in Scrapville.I have not see any around. Perhaps us guys should come over to post guard. We would not want you to go missing.I reallly think someone has taken Bobby over. I still believe awhile back when the invasion with the aliens took over some of our minds that perhaps they came back for more. If so we need the hardware store stocked up.
