OK, So last week's challenge was just a warm up. All you had to do was post a link.
This week, you have to work for it! It is called a *challenge* after all, right? :wink
This week, I want you to do a NON PHOTO LAYOUT.
Write about something. A funny story, a touching memory, whatever you choose.
You don't have to be proficient writer - Just write from your heart! We scrap to remember and photos are a great way to do that but even though "A picture is worth a thousand words", the written word is powerful in itself.
Here is a sample layout of mine to get your creative juices flowing:
http://www.scrapbookmax.com/gallery/data/500/thumbs/201497469_227976980b.jpg
(http://www.scrapbookmax.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=1853&cat=500&ppuser=1177) (Click to enlarge)
It's the birth story of my son Nathan. As you will see, there are snail embellishments becaus he was weeks past due!!! :lol Use your papers and embellishments to jazz up the page but th journaling is your "focal point."
(Disclaimer - the sample I have picked is very, very wordy but don't let that scare you! I'm pretty wordy! - I had to print that one as a 12 by 12 so you could read the font!!) :lol
Just use it as an example - BE CREATIVE!
Upload your layout to the gallery (and put your journaling in the "description" area if you would like so that we can read your journaling!!!)
Remember... NO PHOTOS!!!
(You can always do a 2nd page for your own purposes and put pics in it to illustrate the journaling but fo this challenge... no pics!!!)
Your submissions need to in by next Sunday at noon in order to get your prize! (A lovely gift from Marion - preview will be up soon!!)
ready? set? GO!

Julie, the thing I thought about with this challenge was how many times have we gone somewhere or done something, AND DIDN'T HAVE THE CAMERA. Journaling a page will allow you to capture the memory! I am going to have to think about this one before I can submit this one!
Great Idea!

I have to admit to being someone who doesn't always take the time for a lot of journalling - let alone a page of only journalling, what a challenge! I have adapted a page I have been working on this week for my dad to share for this weeks challenge.http://www.scrapbookmax.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=2855&cat=500

I am totally amazed at how beautiful these journals are turning out!
I have one that I am wanting to do BUT my mom has the copy of the poem. I will not be there until the weekend. I'm hoping to be able to get it posted over the weekend, as I will be going there for the weekend.

I don't know if my template is outdated now or not, but it was a fun idea and fun to share this little story with you. I hope it makes you smile! My daughter had me crying with laughter on this one and I still remind her of it although this happened almost 10 years ago now.

You don't have to delete them MaggieMae if you need to make a correction. Just click on the edit image link underneath that page in your gallery. Then browse to your corrected image and submit changes. Voila! Corrected image is now in the gallery and you don't lose the nice comments.
Hope this helps.

Linda
When you are looking at your page in the gallery look at the top of your browser. You will see an address that begins with "http://".
You want to highlight that address and select Edit-Copy from your browser menu or hit the CTRL + C keys on your keyboard to copy the address.
Now when you post a reply here click on the insert link button (the one that looks like a little globe with a chain link). A popup window will ask you for the URL of your link. Hit the CTRL + V keys to paste the address you previously copied into this popup and click the OK button.
Hope this helps.
