This week we are going to do something fun and very different...I have some last minute touches to do wih it, so I will be back as soon as I can to upload everything....((HUGS)) ;)

Want a hint? Has to do with music...Thats all I'm saying...LOL

Alright, I am back...The file is too big for the upload here, so I have it at 4shared...
But you will have to download the zip file, and then make a music/picture cd cover....In my zip file, there is a cd cover template...Use this to create your cover...it is he exact size of a cd cover insert...I also included 20 covers/backgrounds that you could use as is, recolor, or you could use them to make your elements, frames, etc...here is a preview of the backgrounds I made....
http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee75/wolvsie/Store%20Previews/SBMChallenge20.jpg
Design your cover anyway you wish, doesn't have to have photos...You could use a photo as a background....Ideas are endless...Could be for a music cd, photo cd, even a movie...Just be creative..,and include a title....

Upload your cd cover to our gallery, and then post it here for all to see....IF you participate, I will send you a neat surprise...Don't want to miss out on thsi one....I will be uploading my cover in a little while...It is almost done...
DOWNLOAD BACKGROUNDS HERE (http://www.4shared.com/file/2eV7IWse/craftyscraps_Challenge20.html)

Only use stuff from SBM...Freebies, store bought, etc....Don't forget to give credit....Thanks and I can't wait to see what you come up with....((HUGS))

Wonderful covers Michelle and Janarae. Wow this was quick. This is a great one for me because my Dad is in the process right now trying to figure out how to make CD covers and liner note inserts. The template will be great to help him with his. I can't wait to get busy on this one!

Awesome challenge! I made my cover for a presentation I did for my niece's 18th birthday.

I made Laura a memory album and during the many months it took me I collected a mass of photos. Among them were some lovely photos of her school friends, which I hadn't put into the album because I didn't really know anything about them. So I created a DVD presentation and put it inside the back cover of the album. I called the presentation Girls Going Wild!

This challenge was such fun. I made the cd picture on DrawPlus X4. The background is out of the kit for this challenge. I kept it quite simple because I liked it that way.

http://www.scrapbookmax.com/gallery/data/2809/Girls_Going_Wild.jpg (http://www.scrapbookmax.com/gallery/design-team-challenges/p40183-girls-going-wild-21.html)

I burned the CD with a picture on it, using Lightscribe. At the time I didn't have the ability to create my own image, but now I have produced this cover - and the circular image - I may do another one for my sister (Laura's mum) to keep for herself. :)

Blessings - FS xx

Michelle, I really liked this challenge, and I love your family pics in the film.

Dillie--Beautiful Pic. Love the frame too.

Linda at home, What a memory great job

Daydreamer--I can be VERY forceful when it comes to pictures. I have VERY few of me and my siblings growing up, so I make sure I at least have family ones when we are together :) Good luck

Free spirit--I love that idea. You did an amazing job.

You all did an awesome job. Thanks again Michelle.

ladies thes los are great. Here's mine. We are having a neighbourhood reunion this summer and I'm making a scrapbook on our school. I have pics going back to the 1920's along with the names of the students and teachers. They closed the school in 1961 when they started centralizing all the small hamlets.

The embellishments came from week 54 challenge freebies.

LOL . . Linda, you're too funny . . . and I agree with Val, ALL these layouts are awesome!!

Val, I love how you did your title & your colour choice was brilliant! It must've been fun collecting and going through all the old school pics and hearing the stories that go along with them:)
Linda, your bird is adorable and your rose just brings out the whole LO!
FS! Love your colours & choice of background . . . Everything comes together so beautifully to compliment the pic . . . I'm sure she'll treasure your gift always!!
Thx Dillie . . . I'm always sooo excited to use the new kits as I buy them that I sometimes forget to check back in what I have from SBM . . . Bet there's loads of treasures I've forgotten. . . Will have to go back for a refresher!!

Been trying to decide what to make a cover for and I think I've finally got it . . . A nephew of mine's turning 21 soon (which reminds me I better get started with his slideshow & digi-album!!), so I think I'll make a CD cover for that . . . Now to choose a fav pic! Always a toughie :)

Jana....wonderful cover...I love that kit too...<wink> I love the family photo...Wish I could get everyone together to have one taken like that...
Dillie...Beautiful cover and photo...I love the frame used...
linda...Looks like a festive time....and the cover is super for such a great event....and your second one is just gorgeous...WOW...
Dreamer....I used the font called Apple Butter (I just love the font...lol) and to give it the effect, you do you title as usual, then click your advanced tab, and do an outline, then play with the thickness...thats it...Real easy hun...
FreeSpirit....Loved your cover...and those extra colors are nice added on it too...Great idea for the photo...You can do that in SBM too.....Just bring the template in as a shape...<wink>
Valerie...what a super idea...your cover looks great..Love all the gold...

Please help . . . I wanted to put together my cover for this challenge but I seem to have done something wrong 'cos I can't find the template / cd cover shape. . . All I see is backgrounds . . . Where can it be hiding?!? Anyone know?!?

TheFreeSpirit
05-29-2010, 03:27 AM
Hi Daydreamer

I think its the first background you see - a plain white box.

I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do with it myself, so I put it on the page and then adjusted the page settings to get them the same size before deleting it. There was probably a better way to do it. :o

Blessings - FS xx

I clicked on it to show the outline and then Pinned it so the outline stayed visible. I then colored it so it was clear to me exactly where my layout should go. Then I adjusted the page size to get rid of the white on the right and bottom. I'm sure I went about it the long hard way, but that worked for me.. Good luck dear friend. I know you will master it and show us something fantastic.

Thanks Linda. I am Blessed with two beautiful Grandaughters, Emily and Elise, born within five weeks of each other.
