I love SBM especially the new version but I still VERY MUCH would like to have the ability to quickly and easily make exact size preferences and placement. If I want a scrap of paper that is exactly 5" x 5" the quickest way to get there is to be able to type the size in a preference window. The ruler is not exact enough if you are doing certain things or if you are a nut that likes everything to be exact when it lines up etc. So I would also like to be able to have a window where I can type in where I want it to be. If I want it to be exactly on the edge I could put zero, zero and know it would be in the corner exactly, not almost. Or if I want to put the scrap in an EXACT location I could type the numbers.
And since I am on a roll for asking for exactness....I would like to be able to do the same thing when rotating. If I want to rotate something exactly 90 degrees or 180 degrees to be able to type the number would be quicker than guessing and wondering if it is right as I turn it.
I have started making cards and matching envelopes. Especially when designing envelopes exact size, placement and rotation would be very helpful for the envelope to be perfect.

Great suggestions, especially the sizing one. Always resize my photos in another program first.

As we're talking about measurements, I'd also love the page sizes A3, A4 etc. to be available as default options . . . I often print my LO's as A3 posters for birthdays or celebrations, like Mother's Day tomorrow, so that would be a HUGE HELP to me if it were standard. At present I keep needing to check in another programme or on the internet

That feature was added in 2.0.3.0, but it's only documented in the readme.htm file. (We plan to make it more prominent in a future version, but for now it's just something I "snuck in" for advanced users.)
Here's how to use it:
Select the object you want to adjust, and then press either the P, S, or A key on the keyboard.
Here's what each letter stands for:
P - Position (x and y)
S - Size (width and height)
A - Angle (rotation in degrees)
Have fun!

That is wonderful news. I love it. It is so much faster and easier than trying to eyeball it.

That'd be great to have an option to type the values (measurements) for the different elements: photos, embellishments, papers in input fields.
... as well as having the ability to select the elements from a properties dialog and why not to display or hide them :-)

An additional comment...
About the Size... the unit is pixel. That'd be great to have the choice between:
pixel
inch
centimeter
Thank you.

A grid that covered the page and could be turned on and off. This would help a lot with placement of small embellishments.
