What a weekend I had..lol...Hope yours was great! I decded this week, to do a template challenge...I made it into a .smt file. So when you download it, it will go into your scrapbookmax program...If you don't have version 2.0...I also included a link to download the .psd file which also includes the individual .png's...
Here is the preview of the template you will be using for this challenge...

This is what you need to do with it...
*Download either the .smt2 file or the ..psd file
*In SBM, double click each individual piece to add the background//papers of your choice...But DO NOT change the layout. Keep it as it is...(Same thing if you are using photoshop)
*ONLY use items from Scrapbookmax's forum...Either freebies or store bought items.
*You may add other things to it for that special touch...Instead of the flowers, you could use a brad or button, etc...
*Don't forget a title and some journaling...
*Upload your layout to the right catagory in the gallery, and post your layout here for everyoen to see...It will be amazing at how different each one will look!!!
I might even throw in a special surprise for participating...<wink>

After you copy that middle code, come back here and do a post...write whatever, and then paste that code in your post...DO NOT click on the image link and add it in there...Won't show up then...
Just paste your code somewhere in your post...and after you hit submit reply, it will show up in the thread...Hope this helps! BTW, your layout is gorgeous! <wink> Watch your PM for a surprise...

Valerie..both your layouts are super...Since you did ONE the right way, it's ok to move things around for another....<wink> Very neat how you turned it too...I love this templalte and find it addicting...lol...Watch your PM as well for a surprise..

Linda love the mask over your daughter ... is that a mask? Did you do that in SBM? I wondered because it's colored! Gorgeous!

Thank you. It is actually one of Donna Thomas's photo shapes. She has a wonderful Photo Cuts Shape kit in the Store. I just purchased it a couple of days ago and am loving it.

I don't know if it just me, but when I try to click on an item to change, it becomes an 8x8 paper rather than holding its shape. So I can't do the challenge. Sorry.

I sure miss ya, and was shocked to see a post from you...but in a good way...lol...I double checked everything and it worked fine for me...I don't know if anyone else is having this issue, no one has said anything....the background is an 8x8, since I left it that way so you can change it however you wish...But all the other pieces should show up as their shapes...

Thanks for everyone's support on my challenges...I might be opening a new challenge thread that will offer weekly template challenges...wouldn't that be cool?! I had the same problem as Sue which is why I just colored mine instead of making it a paper selection. The other things kept their shape but the big center one would not hold the shape for me to change the paper either. I just worked around it. Hope Sue can figure it out so she can get your lovely gift.

Yes, I have 2.0. I clicked on the lace frame and the inside of it and both turned into papers. I tried it a couple of times. I am glad to see I wasn't the only one that had the problem.

I try to pop in once in a while to see what is going on and to do a challenge here and there.

Hmmmm. I retried it as well, and the same thing happened...Maybe I brought the pieces in wrong...Maybe they should all be brought in as paper scraps..,.I am going to try and get to the top of this...LOL...I never had this issue with the first version.....I apologize for the hassle...

Sue, I had the same problem. I just recolored the shape to black and save as a png in my shapes folder. The brought the paper I wanted to use and used the shape on it.

Linda, I'm not on my computer tonight, but will check on it in the morning and let you know. It has some really cute elements!

Ok Sue, Diana helped me figure out the problem...I didn't bring the flowers and the mid piece in as a scrap...I dragged them in as paper and embellishment...So when you double click on them, it will just turn into a sqaure...LOL...I apologize...and I swear my next one won't have this issue...I guess we all learn from these challenges sometimes...LMBO! Just call me brain dead...You can either save the shape as a .png and bring it in yourself as a paper scrap...or just recolor them...*eek* again I am sorry....((HUGS)) and thanks Diana! You ROCK GF!

I finally made it back and got a challenge done! I used Michelle's papers and my own, that I've previously shared on a challenge. I also used some of my own pearly buttons because I think Gracie is just as cute as a button! The buttons are on March Designer challenge I think.

I've been having problems accessing Max since Easter and somehow I've missed quite a few of the middle layouts . . . Boys was I missing out . . .Just had to drop you all a line to say that your LO's are outstanding!!! . . . Hard to believe they're all based on the same template, INCREDIBLE :) . . . Ok, here is my try.

I used items from Fiona's (Wrapped in Love) and (Naturally Memorable), Carena's (In the Forest), and Kim B's & Chaos Lounge's (Angel Tears). Pretty much everything is tinted.

The photo was from my trip to Florida for my niece Anne's Wedding Reception which was at the beach and was casual (They got married in the Dominican Republic a couple of weeks earlier. It was in the 60's and the breeze was cold. First time I was ever cold in Florida! My sister Linda, her daughter Carol and Carol's son Jacob are also in the picture with me.

Back from vacation and back to scrapping. Here is my layout of my nephews playing and exploring behind our house. They had a great adventure because they are big time City boys and don't have the forest to explore as we have.

I decided to do one on myself for a change. One of my Glamour Shots from back in the 80's. They were so popular back then.

Linda, awesome photo and layout...I remember those days too....I had the big hair all over...The poofy look on top and my sides were like wings...LOL....I should find my graduation photo...too funny....they used to call me Gremlin back in those days...LOL...

i am using sbm 2 and i was just wondering how to re-colour and add different papers (background patterns) to the different shapes..i hope this makes sense. thanks

Hi Sarah,

Welcome to my challenge....What you are asking is fairly easy....<wink> and I will try to explain this the best way I can...

I loaded in some of the shapes wrong, so it doesn't work on all of them....
But for the papers, you double click on them, when the box appears, you click change picture, and this is where you would find a patterned paper to put there...Now in some cases, I didn't make the shapes as a shape, so if you do this, you might just get a paper square...(This was my first template theough SBM...lol) Some of them you might have to just change color....Whic you doublle click and then click the advanced tab and play with the slider bars for that...

The embelllishments, (since again I pulled them in wrong...) can be used as a sketch to put an embellisment of your own...delete them as you add your own...

Now you could do what some of the other girls did....click (highlight) the shape, save it as a .png, and bring it back in as a shape...Then you can add papers and change the colors...Hope this helps you some....<wink>
