Each month, a featured designer offers a great freebie mini-kit and issues a challenge based on that kit.

Help, how do I find the backgrounds in Max 2? I must be getting old, I can only find the embellishments. Have looked in the program "backgrounds" folder and not there, not in paperscraps either. Where did they go? Can anyone shine a light? Thank you.

I am sure there is an easier way, but I brought up a blank background--select background image--there is a folder DecChallengeByWendy:)

I hope this helps--I had to find it also :D

My page for the December Groove Challenge. Thanks Wendy for the lovely kit and thanks to Michelle for her Christmas Cup embie. xoxo:) The little kitty is going to be my daughters little kitty Bella whom she purchased from an Animal Shelter - hopefully she will be getting her in a couple of weeks time once she has put on a little more weight!!!! and gets the all clear.

I also made the paper & was surprised. I played with a mask & some filters got the sparkley effect.

I'm new at this so hopefully the link works better than last time. :) One of these days, someone please clue me in on how to make the attachment full size. I used the second link below the gallery picture (had to remove all the extra "stuff" in the link because it kept telling me it was an invalid link but then it put in just the thumbnail. I am a perfect example that the technology challenged people can still easily use scrapbook max software! I LOVE this software.
Here's what I did in the layout:
- imported the background paper as a paper scrap, changed color and used as bow, ribbon, and "present" shapes.
- I used the pattern option on my "holiday excitement" title and the bendable function (which I am addicted to).
- changed the color of the rickrack so I could layer for effect.

Last Year--I was visiting a friend and it started snowing--these two was so excited about snow because it was their first time actually being in snow. It doesn't snow much in Georgia and sure was glad to be able to capture this moment for them.

Am away at present so don't have my normal stock of pics, my hubby took this one the other day, our grandy Jalen was up at the hospital meeting her brand new sister, (which is why I am away, babysitting at present, while mum is recovering from surgery). I love the freckles on our little red head. The camera was out and she jumped into shot, so Pa snapped her... He told her that Paxton is to be her Chrissy pressie, she said that was fine, she was happy with that, tells me she likes being a big sister. She mothers her other sister all the time, is nice to see.

So I actually made my first 2 layouts for this month's challenge, posted them to the gallery in the correct format, and am now trying to link them to this thread. I'm told they are too big?!?! Maybe my photos are at high resolutions? Any suggestions on how to re-size my layout in order to put them in the forums...maybe a thumbnail?!?!
Slow learning curve but making baby steps!!! Thanks for all your help. The challenge really made me jump in with both feet and try out some new features!

I only have buttons for embellishments, photo and paper scraps how to do you select background image. I saved this and it said it imported but I can't find it either! :(

I found out how to do this but I can't find that folder anywhere! Even tried to resave it and it says it's there in the folder I put my stuff...but I can't find it through explorer or through SBM. GRRR! :(

Backgrounds are found by going to Page> Settings. On the Background tab, choose Select Background Image - this will take you to where you will find the backgrounds.
