YAY! I finally get my turn! lol. I am excited to see how you all like my challenge this week. Here we go!

This week we are going to play a fun little game. Today is 6-15-09. Here is what I want you to do.

1. Open your pictures folder on your computer.

2. count to the 6th folder and open that one.

3. now count to the 15th picture inside that folder
If you are like me you will have more folders. Count to the 15th folder.

4. If you had more folders you can go to our next random number 9. Count to the 9th picture inside that folder.

NOW SCRAP IT! No matter what it is, even if it is blurry, or a terrible photo, I want you to scrap it (ok unless it is a naughty photo.. then find the closest one that you can share on a family site!)

Please DON'T stress about the numbers... they are just to help us on our quest for randomness. If your folder only has 2 photos instead of 15 then just scrap the last photo in the folder.

Here is the photo that I landed on for this week. Not my best photo... but I had fun with the page anyway.

Credits: Ornamental Christmas templates. Designed by me. I altered this template a bit to fit my needs.

Now I am going to show you the photo I got with last weeks date. (since I thought I was up last week) This one happened to be a photo that I had always wanted to scrap and never gotten to. It had been forgotten in my dusty picture folders.

I hope you all have fun with this challenge. You might be surprised at what you can create with a random photo!

Well I would love to keep it up, but since that is the only 6th folder, 15th photo....maybe I will mix the date up and go 15th folder, 6th pic and etc. lol!

06-15-2009, 02:53 PM
That is a great idea pick! I really don't care WHAT random pictures you use! Come up with your own numbers and see where that takes you! I just used the date as a starting point. You could do all your familys birthdays too! GO WILD!

I used my birthday and got this photo of my granddaughter. Not hard as most of my pictures are of grandchildren! This one is a little blurry and I probably wouldn't have scrapped it if not for this challenge. You sure showed me you can make something out of anything. Thank you.:D

Good idea! Would it be cheating to first clean out my folders of not so good photos? Ha ha . So far I've been a bit lucky with random picks, this luck won't last, I know it.

06-16-2009, 09:09 PM
LOL.... I don't know about cheating... but it may be good motivation to do some folder cleaning!

06-17-2009, 09:36 AM
Here's mine. I couldn't do a lot with the photo without messing it up. This was from a batch of photos I "rescued" from an old memory card I found from my first digital camera. I used a kit called All American Cowboy by Yardbunny.

Here is mine. redits in gallery.

Haha! Love the verse NanaC! You are all doing great with this! I don't think there has been a 'bad' photo yet! It is amazing what we scrappers can make out of a random picture!

Ok... for those of you who want to keep playing.... here is your new random number set.

Start with your 3rd folder 5th picture/folder in there, and your 12th picture if you need one more step. HAVE FUN!....

hmmm... I totally just made those numbers up.... wonder what photo I have there!???

06-17-2009, 10:17 AM
Awww... it was a photo folder I had totally forgotten I wanted to scrap!!! I don't know if you are enjoying this game... but I sure am!!!! LOL.

Oh.. and I don't think I told you. You are welcome to use other photos on your page to help tell the story. But I want whatever the random photo was to be the center of attention!

Here is mine. I cheated just a hair...the picture that I was supposed to use...I had already scrapped that one, so I went to the next one.

Thats not cheating! That is good sence! No reason to re-scrap a photo! Love the colors in that one!

06-17-2009, 07:17 PM
Well, I haven't scrapped this photo yet. I guess I should have as this was a favorite spot for the grandchildren to hide or just lay.

We have a large family Xmas each year a week or so prior to Dec 25th, this allows all my brothers and sisters and their families to all congregate in the one place at the one time. We rotate who hosts the gathering each year and have been doing this since 1977. In 2001 we had this at my brothers Bush Block, and this is one of the photos taken by my sister in law of my husband, myself, my children and grand children at that time. We do separate family groups then an everyone in shot, which is growing each year, and generally includes 40 plus people. Credits to Scrapbookmax, for some of the xmas ornament embies and papers, the remaining embies are mine

Being cheeky I guess, but I really enjoyed this challenge and thought, I would do one again. My second eldest son had just graduated from the armed forces academy, and we had travelled to attend the weekend celebrations, the two brothers planned and plotted all night to try and get the younger of the two to sneak out with big bro. Didn't happen we had to put our foot down, just a bit too young to go out on the town with that pack of ratbags. (I mean that in a nice way). Credits to Phuong Ton Serenity elements, the ivy and the mesh was from somewhere but can't remember where, sorry, but thanks.
