Here is my layout using the Groove Challenge Freebie - this time by me. LOL sorry you're stuck with me again this month as everyone else is in holiday mode.

Credits: Groove Challenge Freebie by Carena's Designs

This layout done in Scrapbook Max program and the photo taken of our new Meerkats at Natureland - Nelson, New Zealand. We are so pleased to have them.
I've used a shape for the photo and change the transparency of the glitter swirls in the corner of the blanket. Hope this helps to inspire. Can't wait to see your layouts. Enjoy

JanDel and Fiona - you are both so fast. Great layouts and special welcome to JanDel. Hope to see many more layouts in the gallery. Excellent start. :)

I have a layout that I'd like to share. I can attach it as a thumbnail image, but how do you get your page in here to display full-size?

I have a layout that I'd like to share. I can attach it as a thumbnail image, but how do you get your page in here to display full-size?

go to the gallery to your page > copy the first line of code under the page image marked UBBCode: > paste that code into this thread and when you press submit your page will appear in this thread

01-01-2009, 03:17 PM
Oh Carena! You were too quick! I deleted the message because I want to have my page display full-size like yours! How do I do that?

01-01-2009, 03:20 PM

Diddo what Fiona said but you will need to upload to the gallery first. Click Scrapbook Gallery and then upload to get into the gallery first. Be sure to size it to suit gallery.

01-01-2009, 03:42 PM
O.K. Here's trying again! I made this layout today using my Scrapbook Max program. Carena's freebies were a perfect match for my step-daughter's fall wedding photos. This is my first photo in the gallery and my first entry in The Groove's challenge.

01-01-2009, 06:39 PM
Wow! I finally got done early for a change!! Thanks for the minikit, Carena. It went perfectly with Caden's outfit! I lowered the opacity on the smaller leaves and glittery swirls. Can you tell?

01-01-2009, 06:44 PM
Melanie - yes I can tell and wow and wow - I'm in love with this layout. It's awesome girl. Fabulous. :)

i am not to sure if this is the right way to do this, but i made a page with the jan 2009 freebie. i hope this is right if not can anyone explain how to, to me? thanks in advance

01-02-2009, 03:58 PM
I had trouble doing this too. You have to go to the member gallery, create an album and then upload your picture. Once you get it uploaded, click on your picture. You'll get a page with two lines of code under it. Copy the first line of code. Then come back here, create a "reply", click the "add picture" icon above and insert that copied line of code. Preview your post first to see if it displays correctly, then post it! Good Luck!

Here is my page, thanks to Carena for another great challenge and kit. Hope u like it:)

01-02-2009, 06:06 PM
Welcome to Mandy and thanks Jan for your help.
It's awesome to have some new scrappers joining the challenges.

When you upload to the gallery - click scrapbook gallery - you don't have to create an album if you don't wish to - I don't have one . Just click upload which shows on the right hand side. - It's a personal preference thing. I like to be able to search my gallery to see what's most viewed etc and I find it easy to do without albums.

Scrappyaggie - awesome layout and wow I just adore those wedding photos. One very beautiful bride and a very lucky groom for sure. Fabulous page.

I'm off to cruise the gallery and leave some more love. Keep the pages coming. What I love the most in doing these challenges and offering freebies is being able to see your layouts - that's the biggest thrill for me. A giant sized hug from me to you guys. You're all awesome. :)

01-02-2009, 06:14 PM
My challenge layout. All items are from Carena's kit except for the frame. I recolored and made it a bit more opaque.

01-02-2009, 06:31 PM
Here is my layout for the challenge. I changed the opacity on the flower and placed it here and there on the page.

01-02-2009, 07:41 PM
Here's mine. Sorry it took a while to get it from the gallery to here, we went to my mom's to play cards and I just got back.

This is my sister, her daughter and grand daughter (Kari at top).

01-02-2009, 07:58 PM
Thank you so much Carena, the kit is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I'll try with all my might and get a layout done!!!

01-03-2009, 08:09 AM
[QUOTE=twpclerk;129737]Here is my layout for the challenge. I changed the opacity on the flower and placed it here and there on the page.

Oh, Susie! How clever to make that into a flower! I didn't see that when I was playing! Great idea!

01-03-2009, 12:05 PM
BOY this was fun & EVERYTHING in this layout is by Carena

(ok, I tweeked a little & used the berries & dazzle from one of her earlier kits LOL):D

01-03-2009, 12:06 PM
OOOOOOPPPSSSSS.......... didn't see 'multi-photo' bit

01-03-2009, 12:58 PM
OH tweak all you like. What a fabulous page and the photo co-ordinates beautifully. Excellent.

01-03-2009, 07:10 PM
Wow, I love how differently everyone scrapped these freebies. All the pages are beautiful. I didn't feel like I had any photos that matched the mood of the set, so I colorized the elements to make them Christmas-y and fit the mood of the photo a little better. The text was made using TypeArtist software.

Carena, I had fun doing your last challenge (although I never posted!) and have since enjoyed using a few of your kits. Thanks for the fun stuff!

Let's see if I can get my page to load full-size this time...

01-04-2009, 01:45 AM
This is my second attempt for the Challenge, I used a combination of crackle, stipple & scribble and reclouring, and thanks to Sue & Fiona for their photo shapes.

The bride is a schoolfriend of my daughters who have been friends since they started primary school together 25 years ago.:):)

TLC - well I'm so please you aren't the silent closet scrapper anymore and you're made your way out in the brilliant sunshine of our forum. Now you can get some much deserved praise - I can tell you - it does your ego good and really brigthens up you day.
You did a great job on the layout with a fine bunch of kids and awesome extraction work. Excellent - I only hope we will get to see much more. Keep them coming and I'm so pleased you enjoy this challenge and the previous.

Scrappyaggie - another wonderful page. Great us of photos shapes. Adore your quote and I see you've put the stitching to good use. Well done, another fabulous page.

01-04-2009, 03:56 AM
Beautiful pages everybody !

Here is my entree, thanls for the challenge and the gorgeous kit Carena

01-04-2009, 07:32 AM
Good Morning,
I love your kit and have completed a LO. However, on the multiple photos part - can it be the same photo only applied differently? I've used the same one but opaqued one and B/W the other.

I'm sure that will be fine as a couple of us NUMPTIES have only put ONE photo in our layouts (LOL)

01-04-2009, 08:01 AM
I've been digi scrapping for a while but haven't entered a Scrapbook Max challenge before.

Carena - your kit is perfect. When I decided to enter I opened by picture file and this one popped out at me. I love the colors. I opaqued several of the pieces and used shapes to make the photo stand out.

This was fun!

01-05-2009, 12:46 PM
