My son Josh got notified yesterday that he is going to be stationed in England for 2 years. He should be going there around mid April. WOW, that's really exciting, so I guess I will have to plan a trip there in about a year!
I started back to work this week with my old company as a Nurse Case Manager, working with injured workers. Oh how wonderful it is to be back working with the company. These first few weeks are a little busy with orientation and reviewing the old stuff! The new stuff isn't that different at all.
And Finally, please keep my husband (John) in your thoughts and prayers. We received some bad news about his cardiac condition. He was diagnosed with CHF, which I was not prepared for. Being a nurse, I do understand that we are going to have an up-hill battle! John is doing well now and is being closely monitored. I'm just so thankful that we did move from El Paso, when we did, as he was unable to get any treatment there. If we had not left, we would not have known. I had a wonderful opportunity to call "EYE" last week, and shared the news with her. I am so happy that we have this community here!
Thank You Eye for your words of encouragement!!!!

I sent an PM to Eng, Should hear back from her soon. I actually had some questions about phone service there. Verizon does not have phone service there. I guess I am going to have to get that passport now!!!! LOL Josh called last night and I had to help him with lots of information needed for his security clearance. He's so grown up! I had to laugh with him at times.
John is actually doing well right now, that is why I was caught off guard with the diagnosis. Over all, John seems fine, he does get extremely tired but that is to be expected. I just expected us to pick up our lives after the heart attack and go forward. John has been referred to a support group through the Veteran's Hospital here and is getting counseling. They have set him up on daily tasks, such as taking his BP twice daily and weighing himself daily. He was told that they will start with medications then make changes as needed. He will most likely require a valve replacement and pacemaker in the future, and heart transplant could become an option later. John and both realize that this is a very serious situation! But, it does scare me because being a nurse, I do understand what we could expect in the future.
I told Eye that I felt bad posting this information, because it just seems that this year has been bad news all the time. That feeling, "oh no, not again" has been so over-whelming! She encouraged me to post the news on John, Thank you Irene! I love everyone here so much and can not image my life without you all!
Awe you are so sweet Onie.We are all here for you xo.

Onie, hope you got my pm to you. I will find out more info for you asap.Hope we manage to make contact with each other when you come to England. It must be difficult being a nurse and know about illnesses such as John's. I was totally unaware when I had heart problems of how serious it was thank goodness. Hope he is ok :)

Onie, please don't ever hold back when you need to talk. We are here for each other through the good times as well as the bad times. I'm just so sorry you've had so much bad news this year. I hope and pray that things will turn for the better soon. I wish there were more we could do for you. But remember we are always here with a shoulder.

Onie I looked up the CHF you were talking about and now I know why you are so worried. Please do take care and never ever feel bad about venting to us--that's what we are here for, to help each other through all the good and bad. I'm happy that you got your old job back, and how exciting to have the chance to be able to travel to England too. Take care and please do keep us posted.
