I am going to say thank you in advance to all as I would like to get things up and running smooth again so I can get back to playing and giving. And wouldn't you know it the darn backup and restore all found my 200 missing gb that never showed up when I first got the darn thing It kept telling me it was only 50gb and I knew I had ordered a largerone so now I have it .

Rachel, I don't undestand... If you did a backup of the entire disk, why do you have to reinstall anything and download stuff again?

when it did the backup it then went into full wipe out then the backup did a full reinstall of vista so it was like having a new computer out of the box the only things were left were the things I had on the external. had to reinstall msn and other programs that were not of the original packaging. I don't know everything about computers but I did what was reconmended by the support of microsoft not saying they know any thing but it now runs like a dream.
