My Baby Left The Nest!!!!

Well everyone, today finally came! Josh was sworn into the Air Force this morning! We were there and took a few pictures. I was proud and I was in tears!

When I left him today, I told him that for many years I had prayed that God would give me a baby, and I was given him. Josh was adopted, from birth. And today, it was time for me to let him go and be the man that I raised him to be. That I was very proud of him and that I would always be there for him. OH I CRIED!!!!

He is now on a plan, flying to Lackland AFB for his Basic Training in San Antonio TX. We plan to go there for his granduation in about 7 weeks!

I will do some layouts soon!

What a proud moment!!! You did your job and now its time for him to fly...You did good Mom!!! (sending ya hugs) It's a new chapter in his life and yours too, I wish him the BEST! and also to be safe!!!

Hubby did basic in San Antone over 40 years ago; he said better in September; he was there in the dead of summer! Congrats on raising such a fine young man! Know you are proud behind all the tears.

I really am proud of him! I spoke with him last night, while he was layed over in Dallas............ it was near 10pm! I can only imagine that he probably did not get checked in at Basic and able to go to bed until early AM! I remember my first day, I went to bed at 5am!!!!!

His girlfriend called me tonight, she hadn't heard from him but she understands that he has no free time for awhile. I told her to call me anytime and that I would email her pictures etc.
