My hubby just surprised me with a new camera...OMG I am in shock!!!! I never expected it, since I just got a new one for my purse. Never in a million years did I think he was even capable of such a thing...I just wanted to share the awesome news with you peeps...I have been playing all day with it and OMG the pictures are UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I dont even have to fix them in photoshop anymore. Can ya tell how HAPPY I am??? hahaha I guess I will keep him for a few more years...lol

Wow, what a nice surprise!!! Canon is great for so many reasons, number one there are so many available accessories (lenses, external flashes, hot shoe synchs, etc.) and they have a great tech support and countless forums to find troubleshooting.
Congrats!

When my camera is to be replaced, it will be with a Canon.
I use the Olympus E-Volt now and Olympus is stingy with add-ons.

I just wanted to tell you that if those puppies in your picture are Cavalier King Charles...I am SOOOO jealous!!!! I have wanted one of those for years!!! They are soooo pretty!

Carol, your husband is such a sweetie and he spoils you so. If you ever decide to trade him in for a newer model, could I borrow him for a while? I could do with some spoiling too and I am sure there are a few others here who could also do with some spoiling too Now come to think of it, you could always rent him out hon, you could make quite a tidy nestegg doing that. Just tell him it is for a good cause.

Vanessa...sorry! I cant trade him in on a newer model, it has taken many years of training him, and I think its starting to pay off....LOL Besides, I'd HATE to start all over again....lol

Tell me about it, I have been promising myself that I will go out and spend a day out taking some photos with my new camera and everytime the day is beautiful, hot and sunny, I end up doing something else that is "More important".

Today I intend going to a narrow boat show on the canal nearby so I will definitely be taking photos, come rain or shine.

Hey congrats on the new camera...i am so jealous......i would love a digital slr camera....but I am too scared that i wouldn't be able to make the best use out of one. I tend to revert back to auto on my camera..i have a manual setting but am too scared i will stuff everything up....you are so brave!!!!

That is really cool! I used one similar to it for photojournalism class and it's a lot of fun. The possibilities are endless and you can get really artsy with the different features. Ahh how fun! I want one too! Share your pictures with us, I'd love to see!
