View Full Version : How Can You.....?

I received a wedding CD from my niece's wedding. It plays on the Windows Media Center and Quickplay etc. I am wanting to save some of the pictures but can not find how to save them them. I would love to do a few scrap pages and print them out. Surely these were .jpeg type pics! How would I find the list of pics on this rather than playing it with the music. Each time I try, it starts playing. Or, is this not possible?

Onie, if you press the escape button on your keyboard, it should stop playing. Then, open Windows Explorer and navigate to the cd drive where your cd is. Open the drive and see if the pictures are listed there. If not, there is another way you can do it. While the show is playing, go to Windows explorer, go to Windows, and find a temporary folder. Open it, and the pictures should be listed.
I have not done this in a while, so I'm going to try it myself and see if that still works.

Onie, I did this with the video of my daughter's wedding. I used Nero Premium to run the video which gave me the capability of advancing the video frame by frame and then I used PSP and I think I used the screenshot facility on my keyboard to capture the frames I wanted. I won't swear to this because it is 2 years ago that I produced a wedding DVD for her incorporating the video footage of her wedding. It is a bit tedious to do, but can produce some lovely results.
Hope this helps

Do a Windows search of your CD drive, choose picture, music or videos and on the next screen choose picuture and photos. Do not put anything in the search name, just search; that way you can find regardless of their extension.
If they are just embedded, I think you can download some free screen capture utilities. I know RD4 and PSP have screen capture built in if you have either of those.

I did the search and it only wanted the stuff on my C drive. A bunch of stuff started appearing from the C drive. I changed it to the E drive to the DVD/video and it says there are no files to be found.
