Been gone for the past several days. Last Friday night, my brother Frank was admitted to hospital in critical condition. He has Pancreatitis, which was the first episode, and without warning. He had a very serious case, and we almost lost him. He lives in Santa Ana California (near Disneyland). My 2 other brothers and parents drove through the night to get here, as it didn't look good. Yesterday, (day 4) he finally started to show some improvement. Today is even better. So, it looks like the 6 of us will head back to Arizona tonight.
I've missed you all and will be busy trying to get caught back up on the posts. Discovered the internet at the hospital today, so I'm thankful that I brought my laptop with me.

Onie so sorry to hear about your brother. That panceratitis is serious stuff. My ex had it and was in the hospital for over a month. I also have a granddaughter who has it and she has been hospitalized 4 or 5 times now because of it. She is only 10 years old. So I know how serious it can be and I am sending prayers your way that he continues to recover and get better with each day.

I really sympahise Onie. I was critically ill with pancreatitis a year after having my gallbladder out when I was 25.The pain is undescribable. I knew it was bad whwn all my family tuned up at the hospital. The first time I went they sent me home with pain killers! I would not wish it on anyone, I do hope all goes well Onie x

Hi All,
I got home at 2am then got a few hours sleep, before going to the Cardiologist appointment with John. After I got back home again, I crashed for a 3 hr nap. Wow, I'm so whipped out!
Haven't gotten a report today on my brother, but I know he was improving when we left last night. It broke my heart when my brother thought he was dying. He told me that he was critical. It's been 6 days now, since it started. He was told yesterday, that he would be in the hospital another 5-7 days, if he continues to improved. In my years of nursing, I have known of people dying from severous cases, like this. He really is lucky!
Through all of these, I wanted to talk to my BEST FRIEND...... but he has always been my best friend. Frank and I were single together for many years and he was always there for me. I would always ask his opinion or advise for everything. I just never dreamed that someday, he might not be there. My family has always been close!
Granny....... my brother is at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Orange. It sits next to C.H.O.C (Children's Hospital). From the lobby window, I could see the Angel Stadium (Edison Field) and The Pond.
WELL, I'm glad to get home. Now I got to find a job and pray that the house in Texas will finally sell.

Well, my brother was transfered to a telemetry unit. They had him walking short distances, and he is starting to eat soft foods. He tires out easy but he is bouncing back.
