Tia, I am assuming that you use PSP too. If the kit came with all the components as *.pspimage files, then they will automatically open in PSP. However, if PSP was your default graphics editing programme to start with then double clicking on a file will automatically open it in PSP.
If the files were *.pspimage files, then open them, and export the file (File on top toolbar, midway down, "Export") as either, JPeg, Gif, or PNG images to a file location of your choice. PNG is the better option because you can obtain a better quality of picture with "true" transparency. Then you should be able to access the PNG's via SBM, which I am sure has a preview pane in it, by dragging and dropping the required file into the selection, whether it is a background, embie, etc. Mommabird will be able to confirm the necessary bits regarding SBMax as she uses it, I don't, but I use PSP all the time.
I hope this is of some help to you.

I don't know what you did, if you exported as a png or jpg, it should be able to be opened in SBM. Did you try to drag and drop the item into SBM. By the way, what version of PSP are you running? We want to get you up and running.

If you got them in a zipped folder, you need to extract before you open. Why don't you upload one of the zip files to this forum (this thread) and I can see if there is a problem with the file. I have PSP 8 and PSP XI. I'll check back in a few minutes to see if you have uploaded.

Go to the toolbar over the work area, and there are your page icons. The one to the left of the question mark is for page settings, go there, click on the Size tab, and you can change the size.
