Yes it's time for the toture of weekly challenges again :D

this weeks challenge is all about making our photo's a little more interesting by using shapes

attached is a mini kit of 6 funky shapes which give a great effect to photos, you do noty have to use these shapes in this challenge but you must use shapes on your photos :eek:

Foto Fun Challenge

Rules

1) make Layouts whith any theme you choose with a minimum of one photo per layout

2) each photo used in the layout MUST have a shape effect used on it - be as creative and funky as you like

3) pages must be posted in the gallery and here in this thread

4) all pages to be in by Sunday 13th July

for those who haven't used shapes with photographs before here's a simple set of instructions

open photo > size, crop, place on page
right click on photo go to 'Properties'
check click 'Custom Shape' > Click 'Change Shape'
Find shape you wish to use > click on shape > ok > ok

here's one i did earlier, i used one of the shapes from Foto Fun kit, i also used it behind the photo with a paper for added effect

My eldest daughter Danielle, had a never ending love affair with my mother's little daschund, Trudi. These are the first pictures of them together taken on the day that Trudi came home.

I've been dying to use fourfoxes patriotic wordart that she shared, and when my friend posted this pic of her new daughter on her blog, I knew this was my chance.

I created the shapes used with the pic and the red & white paper scraps behind it. The red shape is the exact same as the picture shape, just a little larger. Don't ask how I got it to line up so well with the breaks in the pic, it just did. The white shape is the same size as the red shape, it just has no breaks in it.

The stars are paper scraps with the SBM star shape.

Yeah, I finally dug through the pictures and found a decent picture of myself. It's 7 years old, but it's still the most recent one. Since I spend most of my time behind the camera, I'm hardly ever in any pictures myself.

Sorry I haven't commented on anything this week, but I have been fighting with my computer, almost lost everything, but got it all back:eek: YEAH!! Anyway, I have loved all the layouts and want to thank you all for the new shapes, love those shapes!! For mine:
I used Fiona's Tutti May Challenge Paper, Donna's Frilly Frame IV and MommaBird's Shape 2 from this challenge.

I wanted to share this one too. This is one of the first layouts I did when I got SBM. The only shape I used was the Fancy Photoshapes for the edge blending that came with the program and then another Fancy for the center pic and I used one of my photos for the background and then layered over it with a star paper. It actually ended up looking like a collage and I was pretty happy with it.

This was from our trip to NYC for my daughter's birthday and we were able to meet the actors from the Broadway Play Little Mermaid. My daughter is in the center with Sierra Boggess who played Ariel. Looks to me like she could be a star too, but then I'm a little biased don't ya think!!! lol!!! Hope this fits into this challenge too!
