this weeks challenge is:_

Black, White plus one

1) make a layout using any theme you like BUT it MUST contain the following rules

2) the layout must be in Black, White and ONE colour of your choice

3) Each Layout MUST contain at least TWO photographs

4) Each layout MUST contain at least TWO Papers

5) Each layout MUST contain at least ONE piece of Journalling or Wordart

6) All pages to be posted in the gallery and the link/image placed in this thread

7) Challenge ends Sunday 29th June

Here is my entry for the weekly challenge. I used a tutorial that I purchased at designer digitals by Cassie Jones. It's about laser cuts and drop shadows. Just trying to learn some new techniques.:)

Here is mine.

I used 2 papers from Kathy Woolery's Looking 4 love kit (I think it was a challenge gift). I used them on the edges. Lace and oval frame from Vanessa, The black paper background and redish paper in the lace frames I made. This is my try at the challenge. I used Moonbeam's blue floral paper changed to black, Donna's (Autisticwonder's) FF3 freebie frame and shapes from SBM. This was fun!

Everyone is doing so fantastic! The first color I thought of with black and white was red, and I changed about 5 times before returning to my original color. Almost all colors look great with black and white. Great Challenge Fiona!

Here goes, credits are in the gallery. Though you can't really see it, my second paper is a canvas scrap behind the old fashioned picture. Since I made it transparent, I didn't want to see the background behind. I'm just loving these challenges...the lo's are just beautiful, fun, creative, imaginative....ummm...did I leave anything out?? Oh yeah...talent galore!!

I didn't know about the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurants either until I got to go to New York last fall. It was a fun place, lots of stuff going on, trivia questions from the movie and they even sang Happy Birthday to my daughter (really loud). Thanks all for the compliments. I was quiet busy this week. A close friend, an elderly lady of 92 year (next month), was sick last Sunday, we have to call an ambulance, the following day she got a pacemaker implanted, but thanks God she is recovering at the moment.

A quick and cheeky addition to this challenge. I have at last received the many many photos that my sister in law has scanned to CD for me - (about 500-1000). These photos are of my Mum and Dad's wedding in 1960. My mum and dad have just celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary - quite some achievement these days and have been together now for over 50 years.
