this weeks challenge is music related

Your Top 10 music chart

This challenge is about to scrap 10 of your most favorite songs.

Rules:
1) Make a layout listing your top ten favourite songs as if they were in a chart - It must be with both the title and the artist/band name.

2) List them in order no.1 is the best and so on.

3) Make it look like a poster, a page in a newspaper or be creative and come up with something unusual.

4) all pages to be placed in gallery and either linked or posted in this thread.

5) all pages to be submitted by Sunday 18th May.

Oh Boy......This is a real hard one! You have to have a good memory to come up with the names of the songs! And I don't have a good memory! Well, I can try and come up with songs, they may not all be my favorites....This will take some thinking!!!

As I only listen to Southern Gospel, no one else may recognize any of these. And they are oldies but goodies so no ONE artist did them so I put them into a hymnal like what we sing from at church. I guess I could have put my name down as artist since I've sung every one of them at the top of my lungs.......in the car. :o OK...and in church. The photo of the church is the inside of the church on the notecards I asked you all to vote on, if you remember it. Hope this is OK for the challenge.

You succeeded Fiona! I think we were all challenged on this one. Here are my top 10 songs, but I am finding more as I read everyone else's list. LindaPete, I forgot about "Live like you were dying". That was written for Tug McGraw when he was dying.

I had to tap into Muma's grungy paper and Sacannon's corners (recolored) for this layout. Thanks to these ladies. I started with a photo of the jukebox, but did some redrawing to get it to look the way I wanted. I am soooo very thankful for the preset silver styles in PS.

It seems we all have eclectic tastes in music. I can appreciate taking songs from a hymnal, since I did the same with one of mine. Basically, I am "a big bit county" and "a little bit marching band". While everyone idolized the beatles, I swooned over Peter Noone and Herman's Hermits!

Here is my page. I used Fiona's (Angelwithin) paper, musical notes from Michelle's (wolvsie35) Play 'R Song kit, vinyl records from 50's freebies on this website and an image of a jukebox that I found on the internet somewhere.

Here is my try. I made the bilboard and records in Real Draw. The music notes came from some one at SBM but not sure whom. The man and woman shape is from Fiona's Photographs and memories kit. I also used an edge shape from Sue Chastain.


The songs are a mix of current and old favorites. Although I could have added a bunch more including ones already used by other.

Thank you Sue you are too kind.I am an 80's fan (my teen years) The no 8 is a song from the 80's it was popular but maybe you would recognised it if you hear it. It's a German song if I remember. Never understood but just love the tune so much! So moving, you just feel like dancing! But if anyone knows that song please let us know.Fiona thanks for this challenge hard to chose but good.It was difficult enough to select which artist but even worst to put them from 1 to 10 so my list is not really by order of preferences.

This is lovely, honey. I love the neon writing to go with everything and it does not really matter if the songs aren't your exact no 1-10. Truth be known, if I had to put down my all time favourites, then songs that I used to hear when I was a little girl would feature there too, like Knights in white satin (my mum and dad always played this) and Two little Boys by our favourite Aussie artist (always makes me cry).

The music choices are great and what you have done with your idea is your usual artistic work. Well done girl, I knew you could do it.

;)Actually I could just see that little car of yours on a wedding invitation or a thank you card done in Decoupage or maybe in parchment crafting. It is very good and would certainly lend itself well to 3D work.

Oceania Happy Feet is awesome. I had the pleasure of seeing it in IMAX format. The screen 8 stories tall and just as long if not longer. The soundtrack was awesome!!! Good choice :)

It also made us think since we had to create our own layouts instead of using a given template. We had a chance to display our own style. It brought back lots of memories reading all the songs. There were several I should have added to my list. Can we file an addendum?

Congratulations everybody - There are too many to name. Everyone has gotten into the spirit of this challenge and I have so enjoyed seeing what each person has designed. The designs are so varied and the choices of music are lovely.

What is even nicer is that I am seeing people entering that I haven't seen enter Fiona's challenges before. I have thoroughly enjoyed this challenge Fiona - thank you - and I am sure everyone else has too.
