Most paper is 8.5 x 11 so the printer just prints the 8x8 in the center and you have to trim the excess off. Invest in a paper cutter where you can just slide the paper against the cutting bar and slide the bar down and it cuts the paper down the side all in one slice.
Thats what I do also. I print most of my work in 8x8 and only print special pages in 12x12. I have an office paper cropper it works grate.
My printer comes with the sizes and I just adjust to that size.:)

Hey Jazz... I make all my pages 8x8... and use the 8 1/2x 11 photo setting. Yes, ya have to cut it out...and waste some paper...sorry tree people :) But that is the only way I know how. Until they make a 8x8 photo paper, that will have to do.

Same here. I print a lot of 8x8's and trim them. I too have a paper cutter-makes it so much easier to trim down.

Well thanks all you smart people..I got a new printer scanner thanks to andrews dad who finally got his income tax check and paid me for doing them for him...I had to call tech support last night because it would not let me change to custom settings I had to install drivers from another model printer to get it to print like you all do..so I have it now.. works great...now I have to invest in a paper cutter and 2 8x8 scrabbooks and I'll be in business..thanks everyone..
